Suggestions on a Front Suspension For DeadEye Please

I'm looking for a front suspension for my Dawes Deadeye with a 19" frame. Since a budget bike, I want a lower end suspension fork like Dart or similar. Suggestions please and also where to look for a good deal most welcome

axle to crown?

What is the axle to crown measurement on the stock Deadeye fork?
I bet the geometry would be good with an 80 or 100 mm travel lower end rockshox.

I believe for the DE, to keep similar geometry, you'll need an 80mm fork

Webb, thanks, but not sure I understand. Are you saying a Rockshox for a 26" wheel would work or ?

I doubt webb meant that. The DE is a 29'er...they make 80/100mm 29" forks

Yep an 80 or 100 mm travel 29er fork. Measure from the crown to the axle of your current rigid fork. I would bet it is somewhere around 460-470 mm total. If so, a 80 mm travel 29er fork would probably maintain similar geometry to what you have now.

If the current fork is more than 480 - 490 mm, you might want to consider a 100 mm travel 29er fork.

I should mention that most of the cheaper rockshox 29er forks come as 100mm forks, but are convertible to 80 mm.
