How long does this take? I've been at it for a half hour using Draino in a pan and rotating the wheel every so offen. Man, this is going slow! I am not seeing any results yet but it's doing something.

I used Easy Off, and it took about an hour on Stans Flow rim and two Marge Large Lites.

I'm going on about an hour and a half now. It's finally showing a very small amount of aluminum and still has a long way to go. Maybe I should have bought the Draino Max jell? I got the regular kind. I might rinse everything off and call it a night.

Just use caustic soda mixed in water.

It will be much more aggressive, so it will bring you to the other end of the spectrum, where you gotta keep an eye on things, to not end up without a rim.

Like a spoonful of caustic soda per liter of water will do, and make that warm water if you want to speed up the process.

Didja do it? If so, how'd it go?
I did. After trying all of the suggested products, Grease Lightning, Draino and finally Oven Cleaner... the Oven Cleaner was really the only product that worked for me. But, it didn't remove everything. I still have a few stubborn spots of ano that wont come off, even after repeatedly treating them with the Oven Cleaner. Maybe im doing something wrong?

Anyways, I just bought some 100% Lye that I am going to try next. I still have a complete rim that I need to remove ano from so hopefully this Lye stuff works. I am tired of messing around with weak products. Too much time and mess.

It works even better if you can heat it up!
How did you heat the product up?
