I have a pair of Lock on grips i got with my specialized FSR XC Expert 2010. They have worn out now and I have seen lock on replacement grips that don't come with the lock on parts.

Could I buy these ODI Yeti Hardcore Lock-On | Buy Online | ChainReactionCycles.com and they would fit into my current lock on device (not sure the name, the metal ring with the screw) on my Specialized grips?

Hmm. If they're not the same brand, you're running the risk of them not working. As far as I know, they're not universally compatible just because they're lock-on grips. Maybe you could contact your Specialized dealer, or even Specialized directly and have them confirm that before you bought them.

FWIW, I've used the ODI Rogues for about 8 years now. I had them put the Specialized version of the Rogue grip on my Enduro when it left the shop. I can't tell any difference b/t the ODI and Spesh versions, and the Spesh weren't any more expensive (about $22 at the LBS, as I recall).

I don't know if they are compatable/interchangeable, though.

I've gotta disagree with buying another set of proprietary spec grips. You can buy a set of Yeti Grips with Odi clamps on Amazon right now for $20. Odi clamps are going to give you way more options in the future for grip compatibility.

Amazon.com: Odi ODI Yeti Hardcore Bicycle Grip Bonus Pack (Black/Black): Sports & Outdoors

Edit: Everything I said is based on the condition that Spec clamps only work w/ spec grips. I can't confirm this.
All lock on grips are proprietary, including ODIs. ODI just co-brands their grips with other companies.

ODI is one of the few grips that offers just the rubber part to use with your current ODI lock rings.
