I've had good experiences selling bikes on Craig's list. I like that its not an auction but more like a traditional newspaper classified ad. However, I only advertized on my local Craig's list page. I usually get one or two suspicious email responses but you can detect the serious and reasonable buyers pretty easily. Folks will typically ask one or two questions via email and if they are serious will then contact me via phone.
