Just got it completed.

Rode it around briefly but now have to head to work. Rides great but attracted a lot of attention from neighbours who aren't used to seeing it yet ;)

Have a few additions to make, such as, Surly Moustache bars, Brooks saddle, and some smaller stuff to dress it up a bit but it's definitely ridable for now.

One thing's for sure though, those brakes are VERY temporary because I absolutely hate them. Avid Juicy Ultimates are horrible indeed.....:madmax: They'll work for now until the replacements arrive though.

Bring on the fun!!

Can't wait!! Now work has to get in the way

There's a new tire out from Surly that is much more aggressive that the tires you're running now - a local guy did a tire swap for the rear and he said it made a huge difference. Something to keep in mind if you feel you need more traction on the back end. He's running 8 psi front and back as well.

Nice bike! Nicer wife!

There are a few new ones they came out with:

• Larry 3.8 - more aggressive and grippy than the Endomorph, works great on the front
• Big Fat Larry 4.5 - super crazy volume, same tread pattern as the Larry 3.8
• Nate 3.8 - this one is for EXTREME terrain situations- gravel, mud, the unknown-transforms the high-speed offroad handling characteristics of fatbikes to a new level on off-camber loose stuff
• Black Floyd 3.8 - a FAT replacement for the Felt Thick Brick

And then there's the 45Nrth "HĂĽsker DĂĽ" 4.0, which one could argue is like taking a WTB Nanoraptor and making it twice as wide.

I don't know much about this class of bike. What type of terrain do you ride that thing on? Don't get me wrong - I think your bike is gorgeous...I'm just trying to figure out if you have to stay away from riding anywhere that has anything that even slightly resembles an incline?

Used for anything really but great for snow, sand, loose stone etc.

I live in one of the flattest areas of the universe on the edge of one of the biggest fresh water Lakes in the world. I'll be hitting snow and loads of sand with it - no racing whatsoever for this one.

Gear ratios at this point for this bike is a total experiment.

Agree the saddle is out of place, but, it was in the parts bin (see entry #1) hence the reason for the Brooks at some point.......later. Don't want to push it right now LOL

Timo - I hope she doesn't see that :) hahahaha
