I have a 2011 fox float 36 rlc. I took the air cap off to see how much oil was above the air piston and there was way more than the 5ml in the oil tabel. So I suctioned out some oil and left about 5ml in their, pumped it up to 60lbs and rode it around until i started hearing a clunking sound from the fork. I took the lowers off added fresh semi-bath 30ml to each leg then added 5ml to the top of the air piston and the sound is still there. Its a pretty loud "clunk" when the fork comes up after being cycled. Anyone have any ideas? thanks

I converted my 36 Talas to a Float. There's nothing that you did that
should cause that clunk, there's just nothing to that side of the fork.
Try cycling the fork quite abit. When they are turned upside down
the oil in the damper side migrates up. Also what sag are you getting with the 60 psi?
I usually only need about 45 to 50 psi. Maybe slow your rebound down.

thanks, I tried all that, the noise gets louder if u slow the rebound down. I'm sending it to Push tomorrow, I thinks its something serious. The air shaft assembly seems ok springs, piston etc. When I look back, the only strange thing was when I tapped out the damping rod from the lowers there was serious pressure in there ie the semi-bath oil squirted out with pressure all over my garage wall. The air spring side just drained out. That doesnt seem normal I guess. The Fit damper is beyond me so off to Push it will go. thanks

You should try Fox to see if it would be covered under their warranty.
Push is good but if you could get a free warranty service then....?

I thought of that but that fork was purchased around 8/1/10 which puts it past the one year mark. fox's warranty is only for one year from purchase.
Call Fox anyway, being a 2011 fork I don;t think they will
ask for your reciept for date of purchase. They didn't when I needed work on my fork. Even if
they don't warrantee it for free, they will be 1/2 the $$
Push will be. If you are in the normal weight range of people (150 to 180 lbs)
that most forks are designed for Fox will be a better value.
