? about my SLX shifters

i noticed yesterday that my right SLX shifter lever has 3/4" of play in it. everything seems to be working right, it shifts fine, but i dont remember it having that much play in it. ive had my bike for about a year now and my left shifter only has a tiny bit of play in it. maybe an 1/8"

think its falling apart or needs adjusting? i have no clue how it all works. i just ride the thing

I would assume it the down shift (easier) level? When I get a chance I will check mine.

I have about an 1/2ish of play, ,but it shifts just fine

it shifts fine, but it flops around. its kinda annoying to hear it all the time
