What's gonna go on the new bike? I rode a doradoDH last year it was good no problems. Will I have problems with the tripple 888 like I've herd last year with some people? Reading the 03 reviews (bad ones) makes me think other wise.
888
i would take marzo's race fork over manitous anyday... for obvious reasons....

have you rode either one?
ya.... i rode a vp in the parking lot (w/ a 888) and a dorado on a friends bike...

it might have just been how the dorado was set up (wrong) that made it feel kinda weird...

but i am not basing my info off the little experience i have, i am basing it on which would be a better all around fork... he didn't specify what type of riding he was doing, and a dorado is a race fork, as opposed to a 888 that is a race fork that can be used a all around fork...

and the pro's use it so it must be the best

ahahahaha ROTFCOPTER

Good luck getting a new dorado. They only made about 900 this year, 700 of those went to Cannondale and Giant, and the rest are probably going to be staying at Answer for warranty replacements.

Manitou will have a new DH fork out in '06. Non-inverted, no carbon. The reason they're not producing the Dorado anymore is because the supplier for the carbon uppers is basically screwing them over. There's was over a 50% reject rate on the uppers.
