hello, so my bike were upside down for two days and while upside down i compressed my fork a few times and went along doing my business, now that they are upside right my 66 fork is making a banging noise when it extended - it compresses then when it extends it hits the top of the fork legs or something forcefully and i can fill it with every stroke.

it has been two days now with no improvement, there was no oil leek how can i fix it?

thanks :)

i have done that already 2 times (i rode the bike for 2hrs), all the settings on the fork work well but it still has this knocking sound when its extended...

maybe i need to pump the fork it some angle or something like that?

I guess its possible that the oil level was barely enough to start with and now not all of it has returned to the damping cartridge (I cant imagine where it went but perhaps its in some little internal recess somewhere)_

Solution = top up with perhaps 10 ml of oil and try again. dont put any more than 10 ml in it

yep, even when i use the slowest rebound and pull the fork alil by hand (it wont go all the way up, there is like 1CM left of travel, maybe less...) i can feel it reaching the end of travel and banging on top...

so i guess ill just service it myself... i hope its not too complicated, i watched a video TUT on you-tube where he serviced his 66 RC2X i think my fork is pretty similar :)
