Hi

I'm in the process of buying an On One Il Pompino.

I just dont know which size...

I'm 5 foot 7 inches.

Its either the 51 cm or the 54 cm size....

If you have an Il Pompino - what size, how taal are you and how does your frame fit?

Best regards

Thomas

Im 5'8 and rode a 54cm which has a 55.5 effective TT and 30.7"s of SA. I used a post with no offset and a 100mm stem with a 44cm bell lap. I have my Il Pompino frame and CF fork for sale. If interested PM me. Its morris blue/black with read graphics.

agree

I'm about 4" taller with a longish inseam, Brant recommended the 54cm frame for me and that was spot on...its a compact frame geometry so your seat tube will be much smaller than you would normally ride (I would normally ride 56-58cm to get the right top tube length.)

We generally recommend knocking off 2-4cm from the "conventional horizontal" frame size you're after to get a pompino sized frame.

Though the beauty of compact is that if you want to ride a "size up" you can do without losing clearance.

51's probably right

I'm 5' 7". I ride a 52 cm road (sized on Trek). My Indy Fab Planet X is a 48 and fits me like a glove. Geometry-wise, the 48 cm Pompino's supposed to work since it's the same. However, after I built it, it does feel a little small. Despite that, I love the bike. It's a solid ride and I've taken it to about ~35 MPH w/o fear. Tracks VERY well, though w/ the small frame I get some toe overlap on the front. My heels have enough clearance for the rear canti's if I were to use Spooky's, which I might.

On One Il Pompino still available?

hello!
just browsing mtbr.com archives and came across your reply to a thread re: sizing of the On One Il Pompino SS CX frame.
do you happen to still have yours available for sale? I realize it's now many months after your thread reply, but in the event that you still have it available - please let me know.
thanks.
