I am sure that the request from companies of all sizes for AngleSets in all kinds of configs is long and I assure you that Turner Bikes with the 44mm HT is on that list some where. I chose the 44 instead of 1.5 for my reasons, thats the cool part of this job!

remind me whats so bad with iscg tabs? or 1.5 head tube.

wtf is the matter with having options on a $2300 frame. why does a customer need to be pigeon holed into a design when there are things like the angle set or k9 cups available.

if the spot is designed to take a 6" fork and according to dt himself is as capable as the old rfx why limit what you can do with it. hell, some of the people arguing against options like iscg tabs or 1.5 hts are guys that franken-biked their old turners.

why are so many willing to take a bike with so little flexibility and arguing against having some options built into the design? if you don't need iscg tabs., don't use them but arguing against having them on a frame is kind of silly.
I wasn't actually arguing against them. :)

I was expressing confusion over someone straight up not buying the bike if it didn't have them. And other than people with hammersmidtttty on the brain, I still think those folks are making mountains out of molehills. If a bike has the angles, the build quality and the suspension characteristics you're after, (especially a trail bike) whining about iscg tabs is insanely petty. And this is coming from someone who's used plenty of chainguides with and without tab mounts. It's really not that big of a deal. Hell the chainguide on my highline is a bb mount just because that's what I had lying around. I have a lot of fun on that bike and it has nothing to do with how the chainguide is connected.

i'm not saying people won't buy it because it lacks tabs or if someone doesn't come out with an adjustable headset, i'm asking why not put the tabs on? how much would it add to the cost? why not give consumers the option to run a non bb mounted guide?

at the price point that tuner is hitting, there should be no compromises on the construction or on the options available to the end user.

i imagine for some people though, who aren't homers or dedicated to turner frames, the lack of iscg tabs or the fact there is currently no 44mm angleset could be the difference between buying a turner or the competition. for sure some people will buy it because it says turner on the downtube but it's kind of unfortunate they are being shortchanged in the long run with the lack of tabs and the fact that 44mm is the new kid on the block compared to tapered or 1.5" and there aren't as many options out there for it.

funny how any constructive criticism of turner (or now king) is whining. homers sure are sensitive:confused:
Yeah I find that too, but since I'm a black sheep turner rider it is what it is, the ironic thing is the fan bois used to be the ones who liked to modify, setup the way they rode with what we had at the time, funny how some things change yet others stay the same.

Bizarrely though those of us that have the ideas that actually benefit everyone and don;t disadvantage anyone but anyhoo, that's the world we've made! no tolerance's.
Ive got what I want to heck with anyone else attitude.

I'm still on the fence no rush aye and I ride when I an so that's good enough for me at mo!

Ive been following with a keen eye this brand and its Trail/Am models as this is what Ive been asking for sometime. and its got me attention, so will make the top 2 or 3 options when I'm ready for it..

Most importantly it fits all my criteria!

Turner is always at top of my list but I hate being restricted which is why I became a Turner fan, so know I'm a confused Turner fan but only a minority , but Ive never been one for marketing or following the sheep heard, I make my own lines, sometimes they converge but the gap seems ever widening, again it dosen;t bother me just the way I like it, otherwise I'd just have what everyone else have and not have a Turner to begin with, probably a Giant or Trek that's how senseless these threads are senseless ya agree ya a whinner or not loyal to he brand or DT somehow, I don't understand it,
I just ride on.

However could this be MY

Last trail bike :D

LAST Bikes Herb,

No plastic
cable routing MTB check
real HT check
Options heck check check
Aggressive GEO check
adj check
slack check
looks like a MTB rig not some pansy road bike for the dirt check maybe the most drooling bike Ive ever seen close to Sams SSO.
HAMMERSCHIDT compatible YES [STD ISCG and 05 compatible] and designed to function yet still be a triple, a double or single ring WOW.. someones thought about this.

Funny reading Dirt they stated a similar thing nice, still 5years behind my supposed winning though :D

This is my trail bike think regardless of platform

Weight weanies is not my major priority never has been Im a rider first.

Setup some if I went this way, Mara RC3 Ti oil 44 poss 55 but 44 on this means no adj BS while riding yeahaa.

LAST have a properly dialed in air shock Monarch for this baby and I'd add a Vivid coil maybe. and its compatible to do so!

Rest of my usual specc nothing much to change if any no reason to its bproof as in bullet.

140mm bike with a 65 deg HA and still rocks with the best of em in single track then smokes anything downhill [in single crown world. DIRT rated it way ahead of Specialized in quality speed and damping performance its a four bar too yet its unique not an HL 4bar yummy, and it has real sizing another thing I like long front main tri and rest is spot on, speccs info is also impressive I have to say by these guys. A few could take a leaf out of they're simplicity and information. Ya don't need fancy flash adobe websites and software to access it or read it or ruddy find it. [B 101 make it easy to do business too dam simple ahh]

Anyways dam good ed [DIRT]this month, what they say?

I'm keeping a close eye on these boy's, DHR std and maybe a DWL in future 4 DH and Herb AM for trail, maybe.

I'm keeping my ride very simple for the future, as my next real bike will be a KTM 250 EXC 2t :p

LAST Herb AM

Yeah I find that too,
It's a little odd how several relatively rational (if ugly :p ) people have jumped onto the criticism bandwagon. I would never have figured you, Rene, Q and a couple of others (who previously didn't appear to be d1cks by nature) have become the kings of arrogance and criticism. I guess you are coming across to me as know-it-alls and 'superior'. Frankly it's freakin' disappointing because I liked reading your posts before now I am close to lumping you all in with rroeder. It's even weirder to see posts whining about homer sensitivity when the poster is displaying the whining.

Still it's just the freaking internet and I don't know any of you personally so I really shouldn't care - maybe if you all stopped caring so much it would help me out... :skep:

Dang, I think I am whining :madman:

criticism, yes. arrogance? Perhaps I need to use more smilies when I post; is there a smiley for sarcasm?
folks can pit fanboys against critics all day long; it's just the internet, perhaps it shouldn't be taken too seriously?

critical? sure. arrogant?? if you see it that way. i'm as big a moron as anyone else on here. i've owned my own business and know my limitations. i would never have minded some criticism and taken it with a grain of salt. i'd like to see turner continue to have success. i just don't see having to agree blindly with every choice dt makes. i consider it constructive criticism, not hate. there aren't many home grown frame builders left. that doesn't mean they are perfect in every way. sorry you see it as arrogance but i think that a consumer forum means consumers can voice their opinions even if others don't agree. take it with a grain of salt just like fanbois blind love.

ive owned two turners and would gladly own another if it fit what i was looking for. hopefully one day one will.

I'm just retarded!

My apologies if that is taken that way [arrogant! ap is sincere], not my intention to sound arrogant but I also just tell it as i see it, I for one have never been into personal attacks on forums unless someone calls me out, if so then be prepared for it, I'm a no retreat no surrender at any cost inclu to myself. Ive never been a suck arse.

I only have half a brain [hence my retardeness] now so this is the last time I explain myself if people view me that way then it is what it is.

I try my best to be understood without tippy toesing through the tuilps, I repect all cultures as MTBR is not just full of US based memebers i for one am aware others have theyre own experiences based on theyre region, plus i am from the anitopdes what do you expect from a bunch of colonials after all and Im even more ******* that most here especially my views on riding and bikes!

I will call a spade spade a spade as I see it, you see it as you seeit I also respect that!

But I wont get upset at your comments or take it personally as Rene says its the internet!

Im already over it and will stop now to avoid whinning :)
