I rode up at ST on saturday, and noticed the trailwork that was done on the Stile Ranch switchbacks. Some parts of the trail had been worked on to drain the water off the trail (Don't know what they're called) and the huge crack in the middle of the trail had been filled and leveled. I talked to a few equestrians and some hikers and they enjoyed the trail better and welcomed the improvements! Hopefully I'll be able to make the next trail day. I think there is one on saturday :)

COOL, i always hate dthat ditch. I always try to ride through there and my bike goes way in there and i can'tt turn my cranks anymore, lol. Sounds like a good improvement

that sux.
why I love ST is due to its technical trails. After last year's rain, that ditch became quite a challange, then spring came and it was saratoga gap-ish in nature.

Well, I rode Stiles last nite, and I still love the trail! There is about 5 or 6 berms on the way down to the switchbacks. The trail in some sections near the top is a little slower now, but after the dirt settles and packs down it'll be faster. On a couple of the berms depending on the line you take you can catch a little air :) Its still nice and rocky and technical near the top, but the last 2 switchbacks are almost all dirt now. In a few weeks I'll be able to do after work rides in the park in daylight :)

Stiles is fun, for sure. I like the technical climbs....especially climbing Rocky Ridge. I've gotta plan some rides over there.

Oh yea, I'm taking one of my newbie friends up to Demo on sat, not sure of the time but probably around 1pm or so. We gotta do some work beforehand which will decide what time we ride. If ya'll wanted to join that'd be cool. Hopefully I'll have a better idea of the time by friday

Let me know what time once you figure it out. I'm usually up for a ride at demo.

nope, not me. If I'm just riding up Bernal Hill a few times, I'll be on a red Specialized singlespeed. While riding up there, I'm on my black Enduro Comp, usually with one of my buddies whos on a blue Stumpjumper. As soon as the park dries up I'll probably be riding there once or twice a week around 5pm
