Just bought this bike today, however the shop lost the manual. Anyone have a manual, or know if the setup video on the trek website is accurate? The current video there is for the DRCV shock. I believe those came on the 2010. Mine is the RP23 XV? Sorry, my first FS. The "resources" link is not on the 2009 ex 9 archive page on their website either.

Go to the resources tab on a current 2010 EX, and use the chart for the EX7. It uses an RP2 XV which will be the same in terms of preload setting. Fork too.

Can't get to the fork info, give it a try. If you can bring back the link please. I am getting "file not found" when i get to the "fox forks" link.
Here's another option, if you haven't seen this already. There's a rear suspension setup here for 2009 EX 9. As far as the fork, I wasn't able to find it here on a quick search, but there's a few docs to check.

Sorry for the delay...
I have for 155-170lbs
Fork: 75 psi
rebound 6 clicks from slow

Rear Shock:
160 lbs:-- 110 psi
170 lbs:-- 120 psi
rebound 5 clicks from slow

I run mine a little more than suggested. The best way to set up IMHO, is use these numbers to get close then measure your sag (15-20% for more XC feel, 20-30% for more all mountain feel), set the sag right, go ride and adjust according to your liking. I like to set my rear rebound with the curb test (ride off curb, set rebound so you get one stroke, no bobbing). I am always playing with my front rebound... so not much help there.
