I am thinking of replacing my crankset but don't really know what I need for my 05 Heckler. Thinking of dropping the large ring since I don't use it, any help and explanation would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kent

What about the BB do I need to change it and what size fits my Heckler?

Thanks!
All the new cranks come with a integrated bottom bracket. Just install the correct amount of spacers (included).

SLX with bashring and 68mm BB if you're going new. XT or old Saint if you're on a budget and going used. RF Atlas is also a great crank.

What's your budget and what crankset and BB do you have now?

Can't afford the SLX will try to keep it under 100 or 150 at tops, all I know about mine is it is a Shimano has Hollowtech on the arm but nothing else and been on since 05. New to riding and this is my first bike.

Thanks for all the help!

I have an LX that I took off my wifes 05 Heckler (she wanted an XT to match the rest of her build). There is nothing wrong with it and the weight difference is minimal. Drop me a PM and I will make you good deal.
