my buddy steve took some photo's. mostly just before and after shots. But one happened to be of the results page hanging up. This was all they had posted by the time we headed back to Tn.

I had a blast. The weather was near perfect if not slightly warm. This was my first trip to Pisgah. I loved it. The massive climb after aid station 2, not single speed friendly, followed by the gnarly down hill on the other side, not rigid friendly, was the most memorable part of the race. I also loved the knee high stream crossings, i didn't even try to stay dry. I exceeded my expectations for finish time (number 18 on the list above just edging out my good friend Steve by 20ish seconds)

Looking forward to next year.

I had a blast at the Swank this year!
Butter Gap was much wetter than last year and both Long Branch and Farlow had more leaves when I came through this year.
I feel like the Superfly SS 29er set up 33 in the front and an Endless 23 in the rear was a great ratio. I loved coming down Farlow and seeing the multiple groups of spectators cheering for me. Everyone loves a girl on a single speed in a tutu I guess but those folks really helped me keep my mental state in the positive. Last year Farlow felt super lonely with no spectators.

It was awesome seeing all of the folks that raced, volunteered and spectated. Big props to the promotors and volunteers, this much fun and pain wouldn't happen without them. Big props to mother nature for the amazing weather too! Also, there is no doubt in my mind that the Swank is a single speed friendly course. I took 38 minutes off of my time from last year when I raced a 5" travel fs geared bike. This race rocks!

Awesome job endlessgirl! I remember seeing you on the first of the fire road climbs. Loved the outfit.

I agree, Swank is an awesome SS course. It's either up or down not much in between. I rode 32x22 on my 29er and loved it. Not an endless cog but I do need a new one so i might have to hit y'all up.

The spectators on farlow and other volunteers were all awesome. The race was very well run. I'll be back for sure.
