Maad,

Let me get this straight, on a thread I started yesterday, (proper etiquette) you stated that don't worry about the rules or proper etiquette and that if we posted up every time somebody blew us of on a climb...................

But when it comes to a f$#@ing STICKY, please with cherries and stuff FOLLOW THE RULES. what gives with the inconsistancy.

Shall we follow only the rules you approve of?
Whoooooah there....sorry you're confused and upset I happened to make a comment twice...in two days...that you did not agree with or misintrepreted....not personal...in fact...I had completely forgotten about the comment yesterday...guess you had not. I stand by my original comment and don't feel this is inconsistent with my recent comment...or that I was implying that we should never worry about rules or proper etiquette as you seem to imply above. If you feel this is inconsistent.....then that's just your opinion. We'll have to disagree on that one. Cool?

As for today: Shall we follow only the rules I approve of....No, of course not...and I don't feel I am implying this either....if that is how I come across, my bad. And to be as magnanimous as possible...I will contribute a link to a thread which I feel is one of the better ones on this forum which was suggested to be a sticky...but never made it. It's known as "The Progressive list of trail difficulty in Phoenix".....swap out Phoenix for Flagstaff, Sedona or Tucson in a search and you will find the same discussion.....brilliant.

EDIT: I forgot the link I mentioned above....here'tis: http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=492455&highlight=Progressive+list+of+trail+difficulty

You can always pull my chain, as you KNOW. Because youse be my Homeslice.

I'm not an "old timer"... not on THIS forum... but my natural reaction, is to always give people the benefit of the doubt. I'm only responding and posting by the Golden Rule.

At the end of the day, it IS just an internet forum, which requires a thick-skin and a sense of humor. But on the off-chance this poster was sincere, I was just doing my part to respond in kind.

My point was not to call you or anyone an elitist... it was to acknowledge that given there are trolls, responding with a "benefit of the doubt" mentality can leave you the fool, but between coming OFF as an elitist or a fool, I'd prefer the latter.

*peace sign*

Go mix my drink. Hehehe.... Colorado whiskey, please. ;-)
point taken, but the visitor sticky still serves a real purpose, and should not discourage inter-personal interaction. One of the founding tenants of this site.

I would say T100 (proper) is the most heavily used trail in the Valley for MTB.

Of course, your drink awaits you, as always. I am such an *enabler*.

My comment was actually intended as cheeky, and I later gave a nod to the value of the sticky, lest my respect for that be misunderstood. But my focus was never about the sticky, it was about welcoming a new poster, albeit real or fake. That's just me. As originally stated, I need the good karma!!!! Let a biotch get outta the red, already!!! *blowing kiss*

And yeah... serve it up in WHAT kind of shot glass? Hmmm? hehe

BrianC, very nice, LOL! :D

CK, really liked the fool/elitist thoughts. Good karma will come your way!

MTBR is good for the entertainment value if nothing else! Welcome ilovemtnbiking, even if you are casting a line. If not, good luck getting a straight answer here!
Oh B, please don't encourage the OTHER B!! Don't fan the flames of his ego!! ;)
As to my karma... could it please come in the form of a Porsche? Yes? Yes?

But you see B.C. & B.C. have a Abq connection that cannot be broken! Besides he's pretty funny. Just don't tell him. :p

Um, yeah, Porsche... While I commend your good taste, good luck with that! :D

FWIW....re-read what I wrote yesterday and what you quoted me as saying today....you misquoted me...and it's plain as day. I never said to not worry about the rules. There is no inconsistency in what I said....the inconsistency lies in your interpretation and your misquote of me today. I don't mind disagreements...but I do mind being misquoted....Just sayin:nono:

If Porsche = Karma

Then you'll really like this: az.pca.org/flight.htm

....if I posted up every time trail rules were violated....my post count would be huge.

Your exact quote sir. What ever happened to the thick skin these forums require, I really don't care I don't need to be right. This is supposed to be entertaining anyway, right?

Your quote from today, attributed to me yesterday: "you stated that don't worry about the rules or proper etiquette".....whats your quote and my quote got to do with the price of fish?

As for entertainment...you got that right. I only need thick skin when I'm crashing...or when I'm a meat-shield....out here in the interwebs....I'm really an insecure and overweight 34 year old living with horrible eczema, paying rent for a cot in my parents guest room and a Cox connection. I'm still looking for my first friend....I came close last week during a 43 hour World of Warcraft binge in 25-player heroic mode whilst Tanking and Spanking...but alas, my tactics failed. I really was hoping I could score that buddy on this forum who would become like my own personal healbot....but then I realized I needed to have some skilz on two wheels.......god....when will this failure stop!? My life is like the WORST....EPISODE.....EVER!!!!!

If you're going to call me something...please refrain from the offending terms "inconsistent", "polar" or "sir".....I much prefer petty.

Apologies to anyone with eczema who may be offended by my comments or for those who think Tanking and Spanking sounds worse than it actually is.

CK, what is it with you and beer/liquor?! Why must you punish your liver? What did it ever do to you? ;)

I think you're the only person I've ever seen with a flask holder instead of a water bottle holder on their bike. :p

Chollaball, you mentioned a trail at Canyon lake? What trail is that?

Major emphasis on the "very few" part there :cornut: Too many cranial impacts on these forums for much serious discussion :) I vote for Nat'l trail at SoMo btw...

College Student?

When I see a post like this, I think back to my college days doing "research" by putting up polls and questionnaires on relevant forums.

I don't think you will get any real numbers, but just some very biased responses on this forum. I would say that for Phoenix, it would be South Mountain, PMP, or Hawes. For Flagstaff, it definitely is Mt Elden. For Sedona, probably Bell Rock Loop. Not sure about Prescott, but the most popular is probably in the Granite Basin area.

As far as which trail system is the most popular in all of Arizona? No one knows, but my guess would be SoMo, PMP, or Elden. In that order. Just remember that "most popular" doesn't = "best".

Research for the most popular AZ mtn spot, would be actually going to the trails and taking samples of the number of riders and making sure to note day of week and time of day, asking on MTBR would be research to most popular MTB spot as voted by on MTBR members.

You would also probably want to define Mountain Biking cause I would guess the canals see the most traffic and a lot of those people are on Mountain Bikes and a lot of them probably consider themselves to be Mountain Biking.

That said Pima Canyon or Dreamy Draw (both in Phoenix) are probably the busiest trailheads.
