 nothing new on race day uh?

ohhh boy, it's going to be a loooong day.

Checked the chain for stiff links, damaged cogs, derailleur adjustments... everything seems fine on the workstand... however, when I went out on a test ride I'm skipping the chain on 2 or 3 cogs, it doesn't jump from one to the other, it just skips as if it was missing teeth.

maybe it's just nerves :eek:ut:

you have a full suspension? you change the cable housing length? if it's too short, it could cause skipping out in the field that is not detected on the stand.

did you change your front chainrings too?

Wombat may be right, does it happen only in the middle chainring?? if so, replace it...:D

mistery solved

Here's what happened, I picked up my bike form the LBS wednesday night and rode home to make sure everything was ok. That's when I noticed the problem. Friday afternoon, went to pick up my race package and went back to the store and immediately noticed the problem:

loosened rear derailleur cable :madman: :D

The race was great, PR again and very happy.

thanks for all the input
