Merida or Gitane?

Hi friends
I wan't to buy new cross country MTB ( Hardtail ), actually I have only 2 main choices, I should buy Merida or Gitane but I don't now which one has better quality at all. which one do you recommend me?

I can't speek for either one....but the advice I would/will give any first tme buyer is not about the bike, but the fit. Go with the bike that fits you best. How do you know if it fits you best.....go to sheldon browns site and read this on frame sizing.....after reading this....try both bikes and go with your gut with respect to what feels better.

Merida make good quality bikes, they're also one of the largest bicycle manufacturing companies in the world and they also make a lot of frames for other well known bicycle brands.
