What!!

I know for a fact that the Response Comp sells for 699 at Dick's. The base Response model is 350. That is a great deal for the comp at 559.00 CAD = 451.27 USD. It retails for almost 900. That sounds like a steal. Buying at Costco sounds shaddy, make sure it tuned up right, Do you get a warranty from Costco?

wow thanks for the informative reply, looks like it is a GREAT deal.

Costco has an unlimited return policy for the duration of the membership so I guess that's a lifetime warranty.

Yeah?!?! for an 09 model, $300 is BS

:skep: I think your getting some wrong info on that bike dude. There is absoulety no way they will sell a bike below cost. I think the store associate must be some kind of an idiot and is not clear on what model he is looking at .:madman: :madman: :madman: :madman: :madman:

For 09 bikes they go for 350, 450 and 700 at Dicks, I know because I work there, and i am 100% positive. But if they will sell it to you for that price you'll get a better deal then I could.

A Dick's by me has an '07 Response Comp - I believe original price is shown as $599, and selling for $529! Has a "huge" scratch right along the entire top of the top tube!

Anyways, I'm finding the occasional '08 Diamondback Response at Dick's, and they seem to be discounted about 30%. Think I have any chance of talking to a manager and trying to get a realistic price for this bike? I like the fact that the '07 has SRAM X.7. Ideally I'd like to get 30% off, and then some more for the huge scratch!
