Why are you color selections so limited with Specialized? If you don't like the color of the level of bike you want, then you'd have to upgrade or downgrade to get the color you want.
Just curious.

+1 That's marketing for ya.commo_soulja said:It wouldn't make sense for big companies to offer each of their models in multiple colors. You'd be lucky to get a particular model offered in two different color schemes. Different color schemes across the model range also help differentiate and identify the models, ie: comp vs elite vs expert.
Custom bike manufacturers on the other hand....
This is for real.. for ex: 09 Epic Expert - US=Silver or Black, CAN=Whitesingletrkmind said:LOL.
Yeah, doesn't make sense... usually the same frame for sport, comp, expert, pro... why different paint? What if you want the pro build, but like the sport color?singletrkmind said:Why are you color selections so limited with Specialized? I agree that some of the color schemes were ridiculous but it seems like that are toning it down a bit for 09. There are a lot of standard, solid colors and fewer crazy graphics.Uncle Six Pack said:Yeah, doesn't make sense... usually the same frame for sport, comp, expert, pro... why different paint? I guess the alternative would be like Santa Cruz-every bike available in multiple colors/build options... BUT if your color frame isn't in stock you gotta wait for it.
On the other hand, if Specialized would stop all the ridiculous graphics and ugly color schemes, it wouldn't be so hard to be happy with a certain color (flame me if you want, but stuff started getting pretty ugly in '07, IMO).
