I've got a Speedball R and couldn't live with out it. I think these things should be standard on all mountain bikes.
Cool, I run that same post CB Joplin on my old Intense SL and had to use a zip tie at the back of the post, but the cable runs smoothly through the slotted holes in the seat mast. A guide in that location at the back of the post would be ideal. It is hard to tell by the picture is there a guide there? I see the one above the shock but? Good job on keeping up with one of the sports most popular upgrades by adding guides for this purpose. :thumbsup:mr intense said:By popular demand we are putting guides on new models that apply to dropper seat posts,
just to keep things tidy.
Well Mr. Intense I'm waiting patiently for your answer. This could make or break on whether I'm going to be purchasing one of these frames in the future. My decision hinges on your answer.DIRTJUNKIE said:Cool, I run that same post CB Joplin on my old Intense SL and had to use a zip tie at the back of the post, but the cable runs smoothly through the slotted holes in the seat mast. DJ, take a look at the New Tracer VP info thread with all the bike porn, there are only 2 cable mounts for the droplin. :cornut:
Hmmm I used a zip tie on the SL maybe I will try that QR trick. Too bad you couldn't work another guide into that spot on the Tracer. It seems like the perfect set up for today's popular droppers.mr intense said:Sorry DJ there is not a guide back there,we are already @ 10 guides on the front triangle.
If you look at the photo I run the loop through the QR seat clamp lever and it keeps it in check real nice.
It does beg the question, why would you run a QR seat clamp with a adjustable height seat post?mr intense said:Sorry DJ there is not a guide back there,we are already @ 10 guides on the front triangle.

With the exception of a funkie design or two, all of these posts have either three or four inches of drop. Plenty of drop for most all-mountain riding, but if you are going to do something really stupid/mongo gnarly you may want to stop and dump the seat as much as possible. MrIntense's sweet looking Tracer pictured has plenty of more post to play with that what the post will do on the fly.NZSpokes said:It does beg the question, why would you run a QR seat clamp with a adjustable height seat post?
