I have a Speedball R on my 5.5 as well, it's changed a bit since I posted in the 5.5 photo album, but I'm waiting for some Industry Nine wheels to arrive before I post up new pictures :)

I like that the new Tracer has cable guides for droppers, that's one thing I wish my 5.5 had, oh well :)

By popular demand we are putting guides on new models that apply to dropper seat posts,
just to keep things tidy.
Cool, I run that same post CB Joplin on my old Intense SL and had to use a zip tie at the back of the post, but the cable runs smoothly through the slotted holes in the seat mast. A guide in that location at the back of the post would be ideal. It is hard to tell by the picture is there a guide there? I see the one above the shock but? Good job on keeping up with one of the sports most popular upgrades by adding guides for this purpose.

i very much like the CB one, but it has a much too small range of movement. to get a real uphill position and at the same time, get the saddle as low as it feels right, it would have to have a range twice as long minium! :(

...by the way, as cool as the new tracer looks, what the hell happend to the decals? hoping that those are only proto one's! ;)

Well Mr. Intense I'm waiting patiently for your answer. This could make or break on whether I'm going to be purchasing one of these frames in the future. My decision hinges on your answer.;)

No wonder he was avoiding me.;)
Wouldn't it make sense to have one at the back side of the seat post near the clamp? Or must we Mickey Mouse it with a zip tie?

Sorry DJ there is not a guide back there,we are already @ 10 guides on the front triangle.
If you look at the photo I run the loop through the QR seat clamp lever and it keeps it in check real nice.
Hmmm I used a zip tie on the SL maybe I will try that QR trick. Too bad you couldn't work another guide into that spot on the Tracer. It seems like the perfect set up for today's popular droppers.

It does beg the question, why would you run a QR seat clamp with a adjustable height seat post?

Maybe a special seat clamp is needed:thumbsup:

With the exception of a funkie design or two, all of these posts have either three or four inches of drop. Plenty of drop for most all-mountain riding, but if you are going to do something really stupid/mongo gnarly you may want to stop and dump the seat as much as possible. MrIntense's sweet looking Tracer pictured has plenty of more post to play with that what the post will do on the fly.

I'm holding out to see if a 4" or more version of the Joplin is going to be produced.

Theres a new dropper coming out on the market soon, i can't remember who by, but saw it in MBUK or DIRT, and it has 5" of drop and is a fair bit cheaper than existing models.
I'll see if i can find out who it's by.
(I would have a dropper already if they weren't so pricey so this one might be the deal breaker!!)
