whistler is only describable as pure fun without having to pushing up it first. i would sudjest going on A-line if you know how to jump decent but then again my freind who has basicaly no jumping experence went down it and thats how he learned to jump and thats the same way i learnt. crack adickt is realy technical not so much fast. its just steep lose with tight cornering. so if you like jumping a good choice would be A-line or dirt merchant or biker x. if you like realy technical crack adickt. if you like fast technical slayer, joyride, goats gully, in deep, no joke, original sin. hope this helped if you have any questions let me know
Cool, I've just been xcossing but I ok with some drops, but I need a ton of practice.
I really want to do those skinnies and ladders, man that stuff looks to fun...I like the fast tight corners, but also would like to do work my way to some of those drops, but I'm not going to be foolish..I just don't have the skill yet.

I'm trying to get the trip set right now.
dude, thanks bro....

Definitely get some flow on A Line. Its a great trails since it offers the jumps but you can ride without going huge if you don't want (although the air is the fun of it). Dirt Merchant would be the next step up imo. Schleyer is more technical moves and a few drops so if you're not comfy on 4-6' ers (depending on how fast you want to take it), I'd be careful there. The "easiest" stuff will not be worth the lift ride imo. Garbanzo is waaay cool. Not much jumping involved and only a few drops (one on No Joke I wouldn't touch!) but its techy and fun.

Away from those, The National Course and Whistler DH are steep and fast so you might try that too. Crack Addict is sick. It was a little wet the day I rode the park so the bridges and skinny's were treacherous in there.

Outside the park, make sure you go ride a River Runs Through It (mostly stunts), its nothing short of amazing. Theres a ton more great stuff around the area so pm me if you want my opinion on other stuff I rode there. This is my first full season of "freeriding" so Im not one of the sickos like WCH or Zach that go stupid big if that helps yopu gauge where you're at. Im comfortable on drops to trannies of 8-10' and thats about it for me. If you want really big stuff, ask around here. Guys like 006_007, Knolly, and Jim might be able to help you out more there.
Dude, thanks man, I'm green bigtime. All I know if xcross but I MUST do this.
So I will make sure to remember a-line and the easiest stuff is really easy..
now for the 4-6' ers, man I don't know....I want to work my way up to it....
you really need the skill for that right, I mean it's not just BALLS OUT right?

I love everything I've seen on bridges and skinny's.....man, that is tight...

I'll check out The National Course and Whistler DH as well, I keep hearing that Whistler has all kinds of stuff...I'll see if there is anythign on line about them..

Do have to be skilled to ride a River Runs Through It right? I mean it's like a stunt park deluxe?

I have done some small drops, compared to this, nothing, but I've never been on a bike Like say the Kona Stab that one you can rent with those sick shocks.

When you sail like that, off from the drop, when you land does it like almost "rip you off the bike" or do the does the suspension really save the A@@. That's one thing I'm curious on. Honestly I think I would really hollar the first time I do a drop like that.
I mean I want to but DAMN!

I keep reading aobut people breaking bones, and going back for more so I deduct in my mind that it's like the HIGH of LIFE...so I WANT SOME OF IT..but I will err on the side of caution prolly, due to the way I am...but once I get used to it, it's all good...but skill takes some time to develop, so then there's that thing to consider as well.

I pm'ed you as well with a few q's. I'll stay in touch if you don't mind. I'm trying to get down there as quick as I can.

thanks dude.....I wish I had a teleporter, I could just zapp my A@@ over there and back again...

OK... if you're really keen... Here's some still shots of drops I've been eyeing off.. We can pretty much use any of these cliffs. That means anything from 10ft - 30ft if you've got the balls.

That cliff face is up to 25' tall and there's a drop in the middle there that I wanna do. It's going to be about 20' tall

The protruding cliff on the right is about 30' tall

If you look above the bush in the background there's a very good potential drop above that. We will be getting rid of that tree soon. It's 1/2 gone at the moment and will get rid of the rest of it in the next couple weeks. (And it's not a native/protected/good tree, it's actually a box thorn bush and is clasified as a noxious weed around here and the council employ people to poison them)
man im really likgin that cliff face...(D)avos rather keen and i dont think hes gunna sleep for a week...but yeh how much work do you thnk it would need to be built...and when would we be able to come to it...

gotta go again but were keen...might come down in...ahhhhh...these holls so liie next week or the week after...any ideas manw oudl be sweet...:D

It would only take about 1/2 an hour to get any of these drops up and running (Except for the drop with the bush in the way) The landings would just need to be cleared and smoothed out. We've got shovels and a wheelbarrel there so we can use them and get it done quick! I'm sure I'd give a few of those drops a go too if we get them looking nice. Let me know what days you can get down here and I'll see if I can organise a day off work and get some guys together.

Let me know.

Yeah, I've got a full face (and body armour for that matter), I just don't like to wear it coz it's too hot to ride down to the jumps. I probably should wear it though. I had a stack on Sunday and hurt my shoulder a little bit. Luckily I didn't land on my face but... oh well. My loss, it's still sore now. I can hardly straighten my arm.

The landings are steep enough in most places. My next drop (the one next to the bush) will be about 18' with a steep landing. It's just a really off camber launch, so I've gotta figure out a way to get it smooth enough to ride safely before the drop.

I'll PM you my number when I get home tonight. Gotta run for now,

(got ur PM)

but i was gunna say man...ur the one whos game...ahahahahh...doing all this stuff without a fullface or armor (only one of my mates actually has armor...we all have trusty fullfaces tho) and was that ur video camera u were using on ur vid...coz my camera takes really good ones...but if uve got an actual video camera then we could use that to catch the dropping...and then i could take shots (if my camera can take it...u guys would be falling real fast) anyways...we dont mind building stuff so if u need some help building summin dont hesitate to ask...or killing that weed...aahahhaha...

catch (need to do homweork now...well attempt it...then give up and come abck on here)... ;)

The camera I used was a Minolta DiMAGE E323 (3.2 megapixel) still camera. If you've got a camera, bring it along, we can get more than one angle on most of the drops. I think we'll get some drops started this weekend if I can get around there. Hopefully, also get the 6 pack going good again. We kinda neglected it a little over the last few months so we're gonna fix it.

The weeds are really easy to kill surprisingly. Just take a bow saw to them and they just fall over! The hard part is finding where to put them once we've cut them.

hey bro, don't sweat it. The big bikes really make up for a lot of mistakes. I mean a lot! I bet you'll be dropping the GLC drops before you know it. The key is to just do the three count and go, no thinking!!!!!! Thinking = badddd! Seriosuly, trust the bike and just keep your weight neutral.

On A River Runs Thru It,, anyone can ride it since there are ride arounds on just about every stunt.

I know this seems counter, but even though you need to ride within your limits, definitely push and redefine where those limits are. Hooking up with someone is a great way to do this. I recommend following another rider who knows the trail since it will help you setup with the proper speed, line, etc. Makes a huge difference. You'll be surprised how you are clearing large tabletops to downhill trannies before you know it! I can rmember looking abck at something I just hit and thinking, "no way was that me!". You'll come away a better rider and realize you are capable of more than you think. Wait, I just told you not to think, lol!

We'll stay in touch but fear not, you'll have a blast and be rippin harder than you ever thought you could.
