They did, that is why they are revealing the guts to their baby

I think it was revealed long ago in Honda Japan website.

Its a shame those bikes got sent back to Japan and to the compactor... Seems like a big waste to me.

Wasn't there something about it that built up momentum? Liked to keep the rear wheel spinning so it was hard to brake?

Now lets put it all together. All that is spinning ALL THE TIME. This causes a flywheel effect spinning at that speed. When you get into the rough it all keeps you moving forward better and more fluid. Not to mention shifting when ever you want.

I wish the video would show the workings of the gearbox in motion.

I do think that the "flywheel" storing momentum is kind of cheating though.
