Dude, for only $200 more you could of bought this! http://www.rscycle.com/s.nl/it.A/id.14980/.f?sc=7&category=459

Way better fork and better spec'd and from the same shop...you should of scrounged up another hundred bucks!
dude, i know. i actually super-wanted the white kumicho. but... my parents wouldn't help out, and the credit limit on my student visa is 1000. so, like... i mean i guess i "settled." plus my parents wouldn't let me spend over a thousand dollars on a bike. ...go figure. like, 200 more for so much more value and quality parts, that means nothing to them. they just wouldn't let me spend over a thousand dollars on a bike. ugh. but whatever, i need a place to live. so i gotta keep 'em happy.

oh. and in a previous post i said that my rear shock was making a strange sound on the rebound. ...not true. it is the RST fork. only on bigger drops. so. i dunno. i mean i don't really mind. ...unless it becomes a problem. plus, i mean i've never ridden such a big fork, but it seems like it's sorta bottoming out kind of easy for a 180mm fork. but i'm not even sure if its bottoming out, maybe its just getting real close. whatever. as i've said i can't spend any more money on it for a long time.

Maybe it needs some more oil in it or something,it shouldent bottom out easy,i had a RST HI-5 130mm,got it pretty stiff, not very plush but dident bottom out very easy, how does it feel on the smaller bumps?

it feels good on the smaller bumps. i mean it's really "squishy," and compared to what i'm used to it's a lot different having it compress so much on every pedal and bump, but i mean. it's a downhill bike. so pedal efficiency isn't exactly going to be top notch, i suppose.

oh yeah. and earlier i said that i weigh 140lbs. ha, i just weighed myself and i'm actually just under 160. ...don't know when that happened. i think it's mostly muscle from riding. ...i hope it's mostly muscle from riding.

Nice buy for 1K bucks you can't beat that deal. That E13 Light Guide you have on there is great. I've used one for years with no problems. It looks like the bottom bracket clearance is plenty on that bike. I like the looks of the exposed chain ring better than a big ol e13 bash guard on there any way. Keep the one that's on there is my two cents.

Just keep riding the fork then,no need to upgrade yet, just ride it untill it break's or your not happy with it,my old RST use to make a bit of noise,i just got use to it,it wasent very plush, but this was a 00 fork,it took alot of beating and never broke.ya got any more pic's?,its a very good deal.

what's the weight?
it's almost exactly 44lbs.

i'll post some more pics tomorrow, goin out ridin.

but i bailed today pretty hard and broke my seat. ...well, "broke" it. check it out

i tried to pop it back in, just with my hands... but i couldn't get it. so... do i break the wrench out and go for fixing it, or do i contact RSCycle and go that route. ...i mean, i did just get the bike on friday. i guess the question is... is it worth the trouble.

Well, its not RS cycle's fault that you bailed and broke your seat. Try to fix it yourself, if you cant, then time for a new saddle.

I agree with this. Saddles aren't expensive and if you freeride a lot get used to buying new seats you will break more than one. I just get the cheap WTB Speed V comps usually can get them for around 30 bucks and they are actually a really good seat.

well. i just started biking towards the end of last year. and... i haven't really had a bmx background, other than having a bmx bike from when i was like 14 that i rode for a year. so like. yeah this is about as big as i go. and i've come a pretty long way from when i started. i mean i didn't even know what downhill/freeride was then. and i know, it's not that big, but i just started not that long ago... so, i'll get there eventually. hopefully .
