Hi riders,

I recently just bought the 07' Haro X6 but I don't really like how it handles, same goes to my friend who tried the bike(but he rides a Stinky tho).I don't know if it's the frame or the fork&shock that didnt make me smile. I made a comeback after about 14years so please excuse me, I might be way left behind.

A local guy is selling his Xtension Xgorge size M(not sure if its 17" or 19", cant find any info), and I was wondering if I should get this frame or not(no review,no info and recomendations). Should I? Is it better than the X6? Or perhaps should I just get better fork and shock for the X6?

My riding style? I can't do big jumps so soon; for now I would like to do more XC&back country to burn the fat, at the same time some downhill and jumps not more than 3ft. Slowly i'll be more aggresive.Btw, I'm 5'11 and weigh 220lbs w/o gears.

Can this Xgorge suit my needs? Thank you, I would appreciate your kind inputs.

they are both essentially a single pivot, so they should have a similar feel. Take the xtension for a test ride, the decision is ultimately yours. You might just need to adjust and upgrade your haro a little bit.

The Xtension Xgorge is a 4-bar Horst link, not "essentially a single pivot." It's a cool bike. Without knowing what exactly Deto's looking for in a bike, or why exactly he doesn't like his Haro x6, it's hard to tell if the Xtension will be any better. Search for reviews on the Azonic Saber--it's more or less the same bike, and was also made by Xtension. The Xgorge will hold up to quite a bit of rough usage, but as with any heavy duty bike with 6" of travel, it's not going to exactly climb hills on it's own.

Azonic Saber is the same as Xtension Xplorer (which is an absolutely fantastic bike!!)
XGorge uses same design, but is heavier (and possibly has more travel??)
For XC, 4-bar/Horst bike is a great way to go. I've had several of each.. Horst and high single pivot. As far as XC goes (pedaling over rocks, climbing) I'd much rather be on a Horst bike.

Thanks guys for the input. I didnt like the X6 because it feels soft, flimsy and the tail is wobbly. I dont know how to put it in words but the bike is like is flexy and not firm, doesnt hold the parts together(es. frame with rear wheel)

I just need an all rounder bike; XC,backcountry, and some jumps. Most important, I can pedal the bike uphills with very much less bob.

Actually, I own the X6, and I absolutely love it. I hated the stock forks, no compression, and they worked like a POS. I felt unsafe riding on them. I ended up getting Boxxer Ride's this weekend, and set to 180mm of travel, it doesnt even mess up the HT angle at all. I'd reccomend you get a new fork instead of switching frames, because I love the lightness of mine, and the geometry, and the nice huckability. it's hella awesome.

Any other comments? Should I grab the frame? or upgrade my X6 to suit my needs above.....
ABSOLUTELY

you will need a heavier spring for the shock but it is a really good bike...I have the Azonic Saber (same thing) a great all around bike

Guys,

I tried the bike and I have decided not to go further. The Xgorge may not be suitable for my type of riding, but XPlorer would. So I'll wait if there is any local guy selling their Xplorer.

Thank you guys for your feedbacks!
