My minimum on an XC trail is my Impact 5.0 shorts and full face, seen what a face into the ground incident at 10pm can do.
Anything rowdier I look exactly like you do @timothybaker50 and yes I get looks, as does my wide, but when we crash we usually just get up and continue. Have hit the ground hard at >50 kph thanks to a downed tree on a flow trail. Was obviously winded but other than my pride and sore muscles walked away.

I risk road rash cause I wear a tank top
And I love blocking trails, and standing on drops!
My Peal Izumi tank is my favorite piece of gear.

I have an upper Dianese body suit for places like N*. Most of the courses I race ive raced them for 30+ years so I'm comfortable and at 55 I'm not racing or riding over my head.

I don't wear a condom either.

You and @MetalRider can nerd out about the feeling of having your, um, skin sliding on, um, things.

I know AZ is hot, but so is the Midwest. At least you get beautiful winters in AZ.
AZ is so hot. It's all valley and cactus like in the Road Runner cartoons. The is no higher elevation.

Final piece of my storm trooper outfit. Picked it up on marketplace really cheap after checking reviews. Fits my oval noggin very well. Not crazy about the name/ graphics but I can't see it while riding. Will update after a good ride.

Bought it on fb marketplace, nib. Must not have fit him, they go for $130 on Amazon. Is it as good as a Bell, Fox or IXS? Maybe, maybe not.
I did find one issue; decided to try the 25mm cheek pads because it's a bit hard to take off with the 30's, and found the pads attach with 2 tiny plastic prongs that stick into holders in the foam. One broke off when removing a pad! I snipped the others off and used some heavy duty velcro to attach them. Still removable for cleaning or swapping.
