Oh no! So is the size in stock, but just don’t have the ones designated for warranty replacement? Or is that size totally out of stock? Have they given you any alternatives? Different model, carbon level, etc?
Totally out of stock.
Yes, I've been offered a previous year model color, in the lesser "C" version.
I'm not willing to except either of those things (and shouldn't have to).

Doesn't matter if you think they should have broken in those crashes - they did.

Warranty is for defects…
Well, it is conceivable that defects in carbon construction or layups led to minor impacts causing cracks when the bike should have held up had it been built properly. Most of these $3500 carbon frames are built in overseas factories and nobody from the company is monitoring construction.

Specialized are were great for both warranty and crash replacement when I've had to deal with them (the latter of which I wasn't even the original owner).

This was many years ago now though. It may well have changed as companies tighten their purse strings in more recent times.

Carbon frames still scare me. I know carbon is strong (I've been using carbon bars for years) but worrying if every little paint scrape or scratch is a crack would ruin my enjoyment of riding the bike.

Yeah that's not really true at all though.

There are absolutely defective frames, but these specific cases are like throwing a rock at a plate glass window and complaining when it breaks.

You describe sharp point loaded impacts, they are they exact scenarios frames fail in (even metal ones). Most frames have almost no resistance to impacts in the middle of tubes.
Sometimes I'll get one of my sons to carefully stand/balance on an empty soda can, and then flick it. Goes from supporting their weight to a pancake very quickly!

I've had to have two bike frames replaced under warranty, luckily my lbs handled it both times. The replacement frame was sent out the same day the warranty was filed with Santa cruz. I'm sure it has something to do with how much business my lbs and Santa Cruz conduct with one another.

Was this before or after the PON buyout? Wondering if that changed anything. They always had one of the best reputations in the business for such things, and was a big reason I paid the premium cost for one in '18.

I've had a few over the years .

03 Trek, aluminum frame crack. they replaced it same week with'10 frame.
Had a couple parts that wouldn't swap over that I paid shop for

Salsa bucksaw, aluminum frame crack above BB. Luckily the shop was good. Salsa a bit difficult, eventually they agreed to only send front triangle and had to pay shop to swap everything.

We are one, totally my fault, bad line, cracked rim. Covered and I paid shipping. On doorstep within and week.
Outstanding.

I've had good experiences with Santa Cruz, but that was 10 years ago. I've had really good experiences with Specialized recently. Motor replacement, frame replacement, carbon rim replacement all covered under warranty. They didn't even charge me labor to swap over all of the parts to my warranty frame. And gave me a S-Works to boot. The LBS is really good and played a big part in it.

I worked at a Trek dealer. When it comes to crash replacement, Trek gives the dealer a 20% discount on part/frame, dealer turns around gives you a very 'generous' 20% off of MSRP and they still maintain their profit margin. If you throw enough of a fit about it, the dealer may give you a bigger discount. Trek is good at replacing defective frame/Bontrager components under warranty.

Spez and SC have better crash replacement prices.

My '16 carbon Fuel EX frame would crack if you looked at it funny. Once it fell over and the top tube cracked because it hit a table leg. It was not a defective frame. Had that frame repaired twice (impacts not covered under warranty).
