Today. Today was a hard climb up to Dark Crystal on Blackcomb. I got up near the top and realized that I didn’t use my inhaler. Crap. The descent was awesome, but I had to stop a lot to get my breath. Chunder and steep slabs with great traction. One of the best trails that I’ve ridden. The lack of breath killed a lot of the fun. I was in the parking lot changing my tire and forgot the inhaler. :cautious:

The slabs were supreme! Crap, I can’t upload pictures yet.

Sounds like a great trip so far. Dark Crystal is on my list for this trip. Hope to see ya on Tuesday.

One thing I just thought of...how well Curveball's tailgate pad worked on the North Mtn Baja course. Basically because we never really thought about it. Considering the last year, I'm leaning heavily towards thinking any external rack is a liability on that kind of shuttle.

It’s a new Yakima pad. I like it a lot more than the crap pad I had last year.

There’s a possibility I have Covid since I returned from Waikīkī. I just have cold symptoms. I’m functional despite the fact my back feels like poo. I hoped that pot smoking would end it faster. Can’t say for sure that’s accurate. But it was a fun test to try!

My Kona downtube has a big dent in it from shuttling with a tailgate pad.

Rode Snoqualmie all day yesterday. Open to close. Turbo and I were the last ones up for the day on the lift. He rode every trail ezcept Happy Handlebars which is not open yet. He hadn't hit Slab n Tickle or Black Forest but cometed both of those and I took him on a "secret trail" of of Big Wood. He even made himself a freeride line in to Bouncy House. His wrist is fine, he's riding fast and says he's ready for Silver and Nationals. Let's go!
