I noticed riders wear long sleeve jersey in the summer.
I can't tolerate long sleeve jersey in hot humid weather.

While I don't wear long sleeves all the time, it does provide a little extra protection if I biff it and also sun protection.

I don't particularly like the feeling of sunscreen, although I do use it on my face, ears, etc... and my now balding head!

I get lightweight, very breathable long sleeve jerseys for gravel riding too.In general, in the heat you can go to the sea and enjoy gambling there. It's worth trying online, but first here I advise you to read a variety of information, which will allow you to better understand the meaning of the gambling world.

There are people who are cold even in summer, maybe that's why. Or they came up with some kind of fashion for themselves, so they wear it.

I saw a man out for a walk yesterday wearing a black winter coat. It was 90 degrees out.

Some people are wired differently?🤷🏻‍♂️

Baldys need bandanas under helmet. One for face too instead of sunscreen, and for dirt kicked up by park ranger and contractor trucks. BDU long pants tucked into socks, boots, long sleeves. Even in summer. I agree, we are going to biff eventually. And it keeps poison oak off skin for easier cleanup.

But can you say “glandular trichomes”? Please see my recent thread on Scorpion Weed. They pierce thin cotton, and even make a stab thru poly cotton BDU. In short sleeves I’d have needed a skin graft!

Sun, poison oak heavy trail, and light protection when it is too much for arm pads, but I might want to mess around the small jumps a bit. False confidence may be.

On Saturday I wore a long sleeve and actually long pants for my dawn ride. The trail fits all three from above, and the day started in the 50s. When I was done it was the 60s F.

I've taken to wearing one sleeve to protect my left arm while it heals from my crash in May. It already feels like a burn, the last thing I need is to add sunburn to it.

Aside form that, it just looks f-ing cool! One white sleeve and one bare arm. Mark my words, y'all will be doing it by the end of the Summer!

Tattoo protection. Some people prefer not to have scars on their body art.

I've taken to wearing Smartwool's merino long sleeve shirts. Started for sun protection on my 70-yr-old arms (getting thin-skinned!). Great for in woods, out to sun, back into woods... I used to buy the 150 wt base layer, which is now called classic all season. My favorite for riding NorCal pretty much all year round. If you sweat going up these shirts cool you coming down. Pretty great. Slim fit. I'm 5-6 and 155 lbs and a large is perfect. I don't know what actually large people wear. Anyway, I'm a big fan of merino wool. Has to be around a 150 wt to feel right for me. Minus33 is a little heavier but also a great shirt.

Because you've had skin cancer before and likely will again.

And a couple small squirts of water onto your long sleeves will quickly spread the whole length and keep you far cooler than no sleeves.
The second part is why I only have long sleeve jerseys. They are cooler when they keep your skin out of the sun and since they help wick sweat away.

On hot days I will presoak my entire jersey and because of evaporative cooling, I can stay cool for the first 45ish minutes. This naturally only helps in a high heat but low humidity area.
