Another Oregon getaway for Skyno and I chasing hero dirt...delivered. 8 days: Klamath Lake, Oakridge, Mckenzie, Alsea Falls, Whiskey Run, Blue Lake. Amazing riding and excursions.
Super rad. I’m considering a drive up to Washington and would like to sample Oregon before it’s on fire. Which of those is a must do? I’ve done Ashland a few times, so I can skip that one. Oakridge seems like the most known one.

Looks like a few of us have the same idea! On the way back from Whistler, mentioned to the wife that Oakridge was about half way back and we needed a place to crash anyways … She agreed to shuttle me on Lawler :)

Never rode Oakridge so was first go. Super fun loamer with some chunder, flow, tight switchbacks, with the lower stretch having some fun features. Good stuff! All I had was the DH rig so it made the hills brutal but ride what you got!

All depends on how much time passes with no rain. All trails above are fairly must dos when the dirt is good. I'd say Alsea Falls and Whiskey Run are going to maintain a good conditions and have excellent trail to choose from. Tire Mountain in Oakridge is all kinds of amazing but I wouldn't do it without an e-bike or superior conditioning (even with a shuttle).
In general Oakridge has a ton of really fun trails all over the place and lots of places to swim.

Oregon is simply loaded with worthy stops (skip Bend). I would also highly recommend Tiger Mountain/Raging River. McKinsey is also really sweet but for the love of god, skip the McKinsey River Trail...that trail is not fun in the least (but great waterfalls and swimming holes along the way).

No pictures but I rode Cinderella and Chaparral in JMP last week. Been a while since I rode the latter and I forgot how gnarly it was in comparison to Cindy.

Does anyone know how discouraged the lower exit on Cinderella is? I've been riding the new route out but other than the drop at the end it's not particularly fun.

6.5 local. The dirt here is bone dry. Quite an adjustment coming from Whistler and Oakridge! Going to need to slow down and get back in the groove!

I hope anyone headed to UC likes marbles and moondust, because that's about all we have on the menu for the next 4 months.

Also, humans aren't the only thing hanging out at Rincon. This has popped up in the mid-lot redwood. Plan your post-ride picnics accordingly.

A certain meaty sandwich trail at UCSC may currently be in the running for the dustiest trail I've ever ridden. Moondust is an understatement.
