Francois is in CA and they have honest to goodness mountains plus a lot of fast open spaces and great site lines.

It's just different than where a lot of people ride.

I'm having a good day if I can get 125'/ mile (it is very chunky however) and I'm beat after 1800' and that only uses about 300 watts. I just don't have the same need as others for large battery packs, though I have been craving a bit more power and some geo updates in general.

I think if you live in mountains, are large or possibly less healthy, a full power makes the most sense.

But if you ride trails in just hills (or even less in many spots), it's a lot more nuanced and a full power can really make it a boring experience.
Here's my weekly or 2x a week usual climb with my kenevo SL:

I too am in CA and think this is the perfect bike for such occasions Cold Springs trail in Santa Barbara. Usually end with 15% battery left no extender

And my shorter loop of this:

Kennedy Ridge in Ojai CA, plenty of battery left with extender as was riding with full fats, about 10% left

I better pick up a CK hub or something, in case people give up on it.
I wouldn't rush, Superboost is actually a great standard and isn't going anywhere. MTBers like the flexibility to tinker so it's annoying to not have the option to swap wheels with boost bikes (and it's an expensive solution to transform between the two standards). But other than that... it's better than boost in every aspect. Most can't tell, or prefer the rear flex, or don't even care about the stiffness it gives.

I love the stiffness of Pivot bikes. It has less of that "give" and I love that. It reminds me of the Ventana frames...their X5 was like that to a large degree. I guess that is the DH standard anyway- 157mm.
