Doing my first ride at demo on Tuesday with a friend.. Should be good as it’s supposed to rain a bit on Monday. Looking forward to it!
I think every dirt ride I've been on this month has had at least one big ass tree just layin across the trail.
There's this guy. I poked at it with my rake for awhile but he wasn't going anywhere.

This guy fell a year or two ago and I guess people are just cool with it totally being in the way.

And earlier this afternoon I came across this guy. I could have passed underneath, but I decided to turn around and head home. This was my first ride in awhile on this particular bike, and the front brake was definitely in need of attention.

It hit 70F at my house today. First time this season. Snow/rain coming on Monday/Tuesday. May is such a bullshit month for weather in these parts. I wish we could just bottle up all of the precip that happens around now and send it to July/August.

Spent way too long on this stretch. Ground is already concrete. Needs to be a good run as a drop comes after it. I actually compromised a little at the end because three days was too much so allowed a taper down to a narrower section before I really opened it back up for an S turn.

AM showers did us good! Dirt was hero. Bike was hero. Rider was trash. 😄
Mosquitoes are going to be fierce this year. They chased me away from the stump at the hangout between Upper MC and Lower MC this afternoon.

Some beautiful brown pow under the redwoods today (even a few sketchy greasy spots--a steep switchback on Donkey Balls took me out). I was tired out of the gate after a stout 3-day backpacking trip, then a solid session at the gym yesterday. But still managed 21/5300. #thankdogforebikes
