At least, emasculated is how I feel after watching these POV vids. The boys just tried to crawl back inside. There is nothing stoke about these, they are pure terror. I can't even imagine training for something like this, much less trying to pull it off in a competition.

As a gravity guy- I feel like I could pull off every aspect of one of those urban DH races.... EXCEPT for the going really fast on stairs down a narrow section right between a brick building and a metal hand rail. Nope nope nope nope nope. It makes my knuckles tingle just thinking about it.

Yes, the handrails and buildings to prevent a rider from flying into the crowd look to be particularly useful. They'll certainly keep me safe from riding anything similar.

I love watching urban DH and would love to drop that.
It would never happen here. Liability and a general lack of interest from the community.

The urban DH - for the first time ever, I'm in support of participation trophies. They should make mention of Darwin somewhere on the placard and be distributed upon entry so the participant is guaranteed to be able to look at it at least once.

Yeah, the exposure and risk to reward ratio is at the bleeding edge for sure. These guys are risking it all. But that is how it is at the bleeding edge of every extreme sport.
I enjoy a good fit of urban assault myself. Albeit at a wider less stupid level.
