Let us know how the new Fast Traks perform. I didn't see any of the World Cup pros using them in Brazil. I believe they were on the new Air Trak tires.
First ride was promising. Fast rolling, but it's a little moist here after the heavy rains a few days ago so I'll have a better idea in a week or so. Good damping, might drop pressure a bit. Was running 19 front/20 rear. Decent cornering grip but nothing like the security of the Cross King 2.3" i just took off. Definitely good enough cornering for a race tire.

I'll race on them tomorrow and will know a bit more then. I considered the Air Trak but thought they looked a bit... fragile. Might try them down the road.

So Continental are seriously doing this, thought it maybe was April Fools--the most highly-regarded fast tire with real results proving it, with the most recognizable brand name--they completely change the name to something ridiculous and don't sponsor anyone notable using them, wow.

And release them too late to make the spring race calendar for journeyman/amateur racers. I suspect they're going to be really good tires, but c'mon...

I am really intrigued by other tires but at the on sale price of $35 for Ground Control and Fast Trak I don't think I will ever switch (or at least until the price goes up).
I have been very happy with the fast traks I got on sale for $35. No reason to swap for me at all so far. Such a good deal compared to what else is out there. Sure, if I had an unlimited budget I would have all kinds of fun exploring what options might be slightly better. But I don't and I am ok with that.

Did you happen to measure the width?

Air trak gridlite 2.35. 59mm wide on 30mm rim after 1 hour, hopefully stretches a bit overnight.

Sidewalls feels pretty thick and sturdy, will probably not have time to test ride until the end of the week.
Finally got around to test these on trails tonight. First impressions are really good, feels faster rolling than the Kenda Booster/Rush I had before with similar grip levels. I lost traction on the front wheel in a couple of turns but it felt predictable and not a sudden loss of grip.

The Fasttrak is now (after about a week) 61mm wide at 21psi and the Airtrak is 60mm wide at 22psi, so both are slightly bigger than 2.35" on my 30mm rims (EIE Carbon).

First race on the Fast TraK Air Lights (2.35") tonight. Definitely not the ideal course for these tires, but they worked admirably. I ran lower pressures (18/19 psi) and they hooked up very well. Fast rolling. I did two-wheel drift a corner kinda unexpectedly but that's 100% on me, it was perfectly manageable. This course is basically kitty litter over concrete - very tough to corner hard on any tires.

The Air Light casings are quite supple. Almost felt like a tubular tire at these pressures. I'd likely go a bit higher on a course with well-supported berms, but tonight the pressure was a good call.

Took the win, so that was fun. Always good to beat the youngsters (all Cat 1s are in the same wave regardless of age for the weeknight series races).

Rekon Race 2.4 is a great choice for marathon racing in puncture-prone conditions, especially those that are rocky and bumpy. Be nice to see a fast tire like this with even higher volume, 2.5 or 2.6 goes well in El Paso and New Mexico, full of cactus and sharp rocks.

Still think rekon race is a great tire. While it is heavy the volume is a true 2.4. Good durability

My 2.4 Rekon Races have always measured 2.5 on 30mm rims. Visually larger than the 2.4 Rekon I sometimes run up front. They actually pair better with a 2.6 Rekon front - in terms of proportions, at least. They’re plump!
Big fan of the Rekon Race for my local terrain (Vancouver Island).

It’s still possible! Bigger tires then they say! Woohooo

First ride on the dubnital, er genital…

trail rapid version, black 2.4
not sure what to think of it. It’s certainly undersized 2.3 at 18-19 psi and 710g ish weight which is a bit disappointing.

performance wise, I’m not sure. Maybe I hyped it up in my head but it wasn’t earth shattering. Certainly felt quick but a bit more slide than anticipated. Tire feel was good, better than the rick xc which felt quite firm in comparison.

2.35" measured on my friend's rim (28mm internal). Will probably expand a bit over time. I'm out of town until Tuesday so I can't give my feedback yet.

Here it is compared with a 2.4" Barzo.

Don't forget these are etrto 60mm which is 2.35".
Yep. Anything beyond that I consider a bonus.

It's already considerably bigger than the outgoing RK and with more aggressive side knobs, so I'm stoked. I'll run the lighter casing for certain races if it's significantly lighter.

I'll compare and contrast the RK, the new Dubnital, the CK, and the new Fast Trak that is currently on my bike.

I'll be curious on your opinion. They've stretched a bit and the 60mm etrto is a fair shout.

For reference I'm in loose over hard, sandy, desert trails
