A shorter wheelbase should help too, as long as your not all torso/arms at your height you will probably be good I imagine. Nothing wrong with running a longer stem too to get the fit right, I run a 60 and it works fine seems 50 is the max these days tho
(y) I think I'm fairly "evenly" proportioned, 6'1", 34" inseam. And it looks like i'm close to the middle of the recommended height for L (177-190cm). Though I have been seeing the 475 reach a lot in other brands L sizes.

On a side note, I had ordered my frame with just the standard derailleur hanger, but there's a lot of angst out there for the ones that Raaw supplies. So I think I'm going to add the UDH fitment. I don't want to break a hanger and be unable to ride while things ship from Raaw.

I went with the UDH too cause I wanted to try Sram's new drivetrain, but the hanger it came with is beefy. I really like mine the wireless shifting is nice but the hangerless der/frame connection is super solid, if you bend or break hangers it's a worthy upgrade IMO

That's what I did too IIRC it was $110, I guess if you want both then it's full charge for the UDH kit? The 445 length feels fine on my XL, standard was 450, the shorter the wheelbase the better as far as I'm concerned

My Jibb arrived this week. What a beautiful frame.

Is the size somewhere on the frame? I expected the L Jibb (470 reach) to be a bit shorter than my Jeffsy (495 reach) on the front end; just eyeballing, it seems almost the same. Still, reach is a bit hard to eyeball, idk. That said, the dropper cable is much too long after moving it over. And what a pita that was to install, wow.

Spent some time figuring out which components would work. My fork was the big question. I had planned to just fit a Fox 36 Grip X (or X2 based on the feedback here). Then all the new Fox forks came out and then I was like, my Lyrik Ultimate is probably just fine. 😁

But it is 160mm and my Jeffsy had a short head tube. So I ordered a travel change kit to make the Lyrik a 150mm fork and a shorter stack stem to give a bit more room on the steerer tube. Combined, a much cheaper option. Then I can ride for a bit, see how it's going and maybe change out the fork later in the summer.

Oh and this came in the headset bag, what is this thing?

Anyone on the V2 yet? How well does it manage the travel? How is the STA on the trail?
I got the v2 soon after it was released. Never ridden any raaw previously. I’ve been patiently waiting for the rocker to be released so I can covert it to the LT variant. Madonna is too much and a Jibb is too little, but an LT might be the right middle ground as my do everything bike.

I’ve had some steep angled frames nearing the 79 degree mark, and prefer that with my physiology. But the Jibbv2 is fine, just scoot the saddle forward a few mm.

Still looks great. Raw finish is resilient. Adore external cable routing and no shock tunnel. Had to shim my dropper 10mm. Going to update my rockshox suspension to charger 3.1 when I convert it to an LT. I have a 3.1 Lyrik on my other bike and it’s better, and I’m a guy who doesn’t have a refined suspension palette.

think that’s the lower headset cup? Been a while.

if you have a short headtube and a lot of spacers to compensate on the YT, that shortens the reach considerably. That’s the power of a taller stack. Lot of brands are still lagging in that department.

It's the diameter of the upper steer tube. Doesn't seem to fit anywhere. 😐

(y) Should have it rideable by the end of the weekend, if just by the garage.

Looks like a compression ring for the upper portion of the headset, it would fit between the bearing and top lid of the headset

The dropper cable was a pain to route under the lower shock mount and I thought the tight bend would affect cable movement, but mine has worked fine.

Still quite a bit of work to do (brake bleed, reduce the fork travel, replace a cable or two) but I have everything on the bike. Weight is 32.9lbs. Surprised and very happy with that. (This is just a bathroom scale btw.) Old bike was 31.1 (in XL), new bike is L.

I briefly used a regular bottle cage and the large bottles were hard to get out with my XL and the cage didn't hold the bottle firm it would rattle against the bottom of the top tube. Bought a LEZYNE side loading cage and it fixed both issues

Grabbed a small Fidlock bottle and mount. Should do the trick.

Starting to get coil-curious now, too, but maybe I just need to tinker with the Super Deluxe a bit more. Running at around 20% sag with and slowest rebound setting. What are folks running for coils on these frames?
