Picked up a new old stock Shadowcat. Has a Fox Factory 36 with Fit4. I was looking at upgrading to Grip2 (before I even ride it). Then I stumbled on this at Jensen. Can I just swap in the Grip2 into my Fox Factory 36 and put the Fit4 into the fork from Jensen?

The fork from Jensen

The Shadowcat stock fork is at 29/27.5 fork. You can get a 140mm damper and run a 29" wheel.

I just don't know enough (hardly anything) about forks to know if I can swap the Grip2 into the Factory fork, put the Fit4 into the fork from Jensen and then maybe re-sell it or keep it as a back up.

Actually, yeah, it should be a direct damper swap. Same chassis, both forks are new enough not to have any major differences to prevent this.

This is actually a great idea. My GRIP X2 Damper upgrade kit was more than that complete fork haha.

When I had a Grip 1 damper I spoke with a custom tuner about damper upgrade's / options. They said it isn't worth buying a Grip 2 then having to pay to have it custom tuned. Most of their customers already had the G2. They said the Grip X or X2 were there recommendations though they said they are still expensive. MRP Lift is another option again not cheap. Personally, I'd ride the fork as is.
