Then why add the extra travel and take the risk to begin with?
There is NO risk
There is no flex there
There is 2 mm with shock empty fully compressed and you never get full travel out of any air shock there is always 2mm.
Its a much better shock than the Sid, have option of firming it up on the fly and nice to have little extra travel (more composed in the rough).

Has anyone measured their head angle? I always felt like the bike was more capable than the numbers suggest, and on a rainy day I was messing around and thought I'd give it a check. Turns out its more like 66 than the stated 67.5, which I am not complaining about, I always thought 67.5 was kinda steep as I use mine as more of a trail bike than XC.

That's interesting to hear. What model and travel fork?

Not trying to rain on your parade at all. I messed around with shock length on my process 111. The outcome for me was that a better shock with a custom tune was the right choice over trying to shove a square into a round hole.

Also, if your shock rate goes infinite (bottoms out) all that energy has to go somewhere. You'd be surprised how much frames move around under heavy loads. Watch some slow mo DH bike footage sometime and you'll be shocked.

Those burly DH frames look like wet noodles when they land. 2mm frame clearance is the thickness of a guitar pick. Instantly close.

Not worried about it at all, there was 2mm with me sitting on the bike with no air.
Also where the seat stay flexes if anything the seat stay will shrink/get shorter as it flexes and actually might be more space between the bridge and and seat tube.
All ready been riding it as hard/about hard as I am going to be riding it and only using 47/48 mm of the stroke.

Yep. I don't get people who just don't buy a longer travel bike if that is what they are after. If you want a trail bike... buy a Process 134.
If 134 had the same geo.
Wasn't really after more travel wanted a better shock (less firm) and with the remote/IPA compression on the Mcleod I have the best of both world firm or plush on the fly.

Nice

I wouldn't mid having a HH carbon frame and running it with a 140mm fork and 64-65* HTA.
I ran a 130 on it for a while, but I really liked the stock geo better, and after I switched back the college kid I bought from told me the same, and the reason he sold was Specialized wanted him on their bikes, so....lol. He's doing well now, a couple of top 10 overall finishes in some serious races.

I dont doubt that, but I usually run my stuff pretty slack due to where I ride. My Druid is 63.5* HTA with 150mm and the 2019 Hei Hei it replaced was 66* with 120mm using a 2* headset. My Commencal was 62.8*.

Worst case I do like everyone else does, and buy a Transition spur which would be better suited for my riding style.
