They had the complete 2023 C2 build for $3024.94 a few months back (OOS now) which I thought was a good deal, I almost grabbed one but then found a like new C2 Sram with Hayes A2 brakes and wrapped so grabbed it. Want to love the bike as figured 10/5mm more travel over my RM Element would be prefect, but just can't get it setup where feel as confident on it as I do on the Element. Geometry is almost identical so IDK what issue is. The OEM bars were very fatiguing for me too (mine are labeled Norco but think they are e13 which I read can be very harsh, which is what I felt), so switched to T1 carbon bars and much improved. Also not a huge fan of the OEM spec VIttoria tires as always felt like must be harder compound as had trouble with grip on what should be unlimited grip surface like boulders. But could have just been how my weight/CG was not ideally positions, again because how bike just didn't feel like fit right for me, as tires felt plenty soft. Either way saw this frame too as had a freind that wanted an Optic after riding mine so was looking for deals, and think could be a ok deal if have the parts to build it up. It can be a great do it all bike if fits right. My personal preference is the 2023 RM Element, so selling my Optic and bought an StEvo.

Yeah, what you say makes sense. The reviews I read said it rides more like a longer travel trail bike, and not a downcountry bike like the RM Element. Even though HTA is similar, their suspension setup is different. I was looking at this frame as well, but don't need another trail bike. I bet it would pair up with that Pike Ultimate from the We Are One Composites thread.

Received my large Optic C super quickly. Nicer looking than expected.

Missing cable port covers, which Jenson suggested I should reach out to Norco on first, then come back to Jenson if they can't help me out. Didn't expect that response, but whatevs. Will give it a shot.

Excited to build it up, but I'm in no rush. Snow and mud season is upon us here in Colorado.

Picked up the FSA carbon wheels from another post for the build, also.

Did you have luck with yours actually shipping? I placed an order and then they cancelled it saying they were out of order (like others in that thread)

Received my frame today. All cable port covers and bunch of other stuff came in little box with the frame. I wonder if Jenson forgot to put that in with your frame?

I got the little box, but it was missing some of the port covers...weird, eh?

After the response from Jenson, I contacted Norco directly. They said we (or Jenson) will take care of it..standby. I have a mystery shipment arriving from UPS today, so I wonder if that is the resolution.

Do you guys think the optic frame would be a nice complement to the SJ Evo? I’d build it up with parts from my too small Stumpjumper and sell that frame on CL. The Evo would handle bike park and tech duties, Optic would xc and mild jump line duties. Reviews say it’s a good jumper.

Might be able to guess if you look where it originated...Riverside, CA or La Vergne, TN = Jenson (lately UPS even says it's from Jenson, but ymmv with that). Someplace else, Norco or ???

Ha, the mystery shipment is something else that I forgot about. Grips and pedals from RaceFace. Still waiting to see what happens w/ the Norco small parts, I guess.

Got mine this Wednesday, took Friday off to build it up - went for a ride today, feels awesome! Also mildly surprised it came with a headset - although I had a spare wolftooth one so I used that instead. Frame was pretty easy to work with.

Weird mine didn't come with a headset. No biggie I wanted to get a gold wolf tooth one anyway.
