Is there an easy way to have Strava ignore the chairlift portions of a day at a lift-assisted bike park?

Yep. 15 years later, this statement still applies to a lot of stuff. It's been a problem with Strava since day one and they show no sign of changing.
I never have a fvck because I'm interested in down not up.
I do have mates that stop/start every uplift. Then they get annoyed when they forget. Too much admin for me. I just ride.
Someone would still find a way to cheat. People are goofy like that.you guys should create a segment out of the lift ride. would be funny to see the leaderboard with 100 guys tied for KOM.
When I ran a fixed grip lift many years ago, we could actually run it at different speeds depending on wind and other conditions, so it is certainly possible to have different times for the uplift. We also slowed it occasionally when someone was having trouble loading or unloading, as well.you guys should create a segment out of the lift ride. would be funny to see the leaderboard with 100 guys tied for KOM.
Or glitches, but a lot of park lift lines have segments. Stupid, but they exist. I've tried the start/stop, but then I forget. I'd rather capture the whole ride, then miss parts of it. It would be nice to easily remove them. Same token, its only Strava... not super anal about the stats. Park/shuttle riding is very small percentage of my overall riding.Someone would still find a way to cheat. People are goofy like that.
There is a button on that ride that will let you disregard that accomplishment (whatever they call it). I do that when I go to the park. still shows vert for the ride but doesn't record it as a record.Only solution was to manually delete the lift rides in .gpx text file. I got elevation gain down from over 8k to ~2700.
Just not going to not even bother recording next time. What a PITA. If somo e got to work before idk how. I even tried zeroing elevation string out in gpx file but Strava does. Kt use that, it must use lat/long coordinates on topo map to calculate? Idk... View attachment 2121073
