I’m thinking about buying this, it’s a Revive 2.0, for the record. About $40 in parts makes it a 3.0, so it’s definitely a deal. I’m going to read over that BY Revive thread in the Dropper section and make my decision.

Good knowledge. I looked for two parts (that I need) just now for the V2 to fit into a frame: the V3 foot and V3 actuator rod. I don't see these parts available in the States and the shipping cost from Europe eats into the costs savings.

I was just looking into this.
The parts:
V3 Seatclamp (this will lower post stack by 5mm) Bike Yoke Saddle Clamp 3.0 Upper+Lower Revive Posts
V3 Actuator (this is 10mm shorter than v2): BikeYoke Dropper Post Foot Assembly (Scroll down)
V3 Rod: BikeYoke Dropper Seatpost Actuator Rod

Super reasonable!

Good point. With tax and shipping, it's about $70 for the parts.

My xc race bike Divine SL Rascal is perfection. My trail bike's OneUp V2 has always been "meh" even with same WT lever/cable/housing as the xc bike. Replaced the OneUp's bent brass pins yesterday, and was hoping the post was dead after letting it sit for so long, ha. Can't bring myself to throw away the working lighter shorter stack V2, and because I'm admittedly a weight weenie, but the $170 2.0 is so tempting!! Other option to wait for deal on this forum is a heavily discounted Wolf Tooth Resolve.
Still looking at that $170 31.6....it'd even match the Mezzer Pro.

Just installed the Jack on my Canfield. Replacing a 170 PNW with the 185 Jack. Nice that it comes with an upgraded BY dropper lever, where most posts don't include a lever. Bolted right up to my clamp because I was already running a BY lever on this bike. Slight hit for the cable that now has the barrel solid and no set-screw barrel pinch thing to use with a regular shift cable. While a little more fussy to set up, I never had a problem and I DID have friends on rides where their dropper cable pulled out of their lever, which was impossible on the old design AND you could still run that old design on other dropper levers too. Not a huge deal though. Otherwise just like any other BY Revive.

Maybe this should be in the dropper forum but I’ll ask: If price was equal, would it be easier to purchase a revive 2.0 that accepts normal cable and housing?
Reading this thread and a few outside reviews, it seems the Jack cable and housing is somewhat of an issue. I have WT remotes currently fwiw.

The only cable issue is that if you ever need to change cables, you will either need to somehow get ahold of the same thing (rare) or get a barrel-nut assembly, you might even be able to run a PNW one in a BY, I'm running the reverse of that too. Luckily that's what I was already using on this specific bike, so I just taped it to the old seatpost and can use it at a later date, but it seems odd that it didn't come with one. Minor issue. The post and lever are the same, so maybe don't overthink it. Your WT lever should also work fine, again, typically the BY posts work fine with any lever. It's the BY lever that don't work fine with every post, since they use the "reverse" mount with the shifter plug end in the lever. But you can typically use any lever in this config, WT, PNW, etc.

I wasn’t aware of the non-standard cable until now. Although this is still a deal, especially if you are happy with the v2 dropper, I think I’ll wait for a deal on the v3. I don’t want the hassle of ordering the extra parts and dealing with the oddball cable.

This and a regular shifter cable and you are good to go.

So can one assume that the 80mm version is a re-branded Divine SL?
I’m wondering as well. I have the Divine SL rascal, but there is no exposed cable actuator. I need a special plastic tool in order to reach and change the cable head, which is deep inside the post tube wall. I can’t find any pictures or reviews about the jack 80 being different than the longer jacks.
On a related note, my BY 80 mm is several levels above my oneup V2 in terms of reliability and performance. I was fortunate that a local gravel racer never installed it and sold it with Wolftooth for a measly $100.

If anyone finds out the jack 80 mm is the same please post. Pun intended.

I was hoping the 320mm length spec'd for the 80mm model was a typo. But now that this Rascal variant has been brought to my attention, its clearly an accurate length spec. Way too short for my gravel bike (even the stock 385mm post on my Revolt was too short).
The Rascal is essentially just a pre-cut SL. But I see that SL lower tubes are available* for $45 that turn a Rascal into a standard SL with its 400mm native length. ~$215 total for a standard Divine SL is still compelling, so I think I'll give it a go.
