For sure. I think there are aftermarket products to make the HT MX, so certainly it's possible. It might be that SC could do it, but chooses not to in-order to justify essentially two families of MTB frames. Or, as the kid at the front desk indicated, they feel there are too many compromises in the geo.

Wish we knew more.
I don’t think anyone has made an MX link for the HT4, but Cascade did make one for the HT3.

Kiran at Santa Cruz have mentioned that making frames MX and 29” compatible leads to compromises in the suspension kinematic. The guys at Norco also confirmed this when discussing the kinematic of the new Sight/Optic when switching wheel size.

The HT4 isn't out yet (I don't think anyway), so I'm thinking you meant HT2 and HT3.

That's pretty much what I was told regarding compromises. I like to go far and climb anyway, so MX doesn't interest me too much.

Any new rumors on updates for the HT4? I'm right on the edge on the HT3 with the crazy deals right now.
I came very close to pulling the trigger on an HT3. The deals are really good.

Ultimately, not being able to run my coil shock and not being able to run MX pushed me to a V3 Ripmo. If you don't care about either of those things the HT3 seems awesome.

Buy it, ride it, enjoy it. Always something new around the corner. Not worth the time waiting while you can be enjoying a bike now.
For sure!

I got my HT 6 months after its release, so they were still moving them at msrp. Originally I ordered an aluminum model, the HT2 knowing it was going to be some time before they were available, like months, it was on sale and a decent discount. So I sat on it. I couldn't pull the trigger on a C model at that time. Months later I get an email saying the AL one was pushed back even farther. They offered to meet the % off the one I ordered for a HT3 C, so I jumped up to a eagle axs, with a decent discount. It arrived 3 days later and I was off. For me, this is the perfect bike.

Now seeing the steep discounts, I'm not in the least bothered by it, I've got about 2k on it, and I have had a blast on it, and plan to keep doing so. If you are on the fence get the discounted v3, step it up a level you wouldn't have done before. Good luck!

Wondering if the water always gets in the glovebox and if there’s any rubber seal that goes with the shuttle guard and the mount in the frame? Thanks heaps.

never had issues with water entering the glovebox, and the shuttle guard is plastic but no seals, so sometimes sand can get in between the frame and shuttle guard but no different than the bottle bracket area frame protector

I'm glad I bought the HT3, especially at the blow-out prices. Just got it Saturday, and had my first ride yesterday. For my riding style, the 145/150 is about right. The HT4 is 150/160 and even longer.

I got the X0 version, and it's a full 10 lbs heavier than my Blur! The Blur is pretty tweaked, but that extra 10 lbs makes for a workout.

I'm curious about how that video was discovered. It's been out for 2 weeks, but had 249 views when I watched it. I guess it was an unlisted posting that just got leaked.
