I recently built up a new frame with some new cura 4 brakes. They are excellent, great power, linear lever pull, etc. However, after racking my brain trying to figure out where a rattling noise was on my bike I have finally narrowed it down to the brakes. I can shake the pads in the calipers to reproduce the sound. When descending off the brakes it is really noisy (louder than my hub at times). When I apply brakes the noise obviously goes away. Has anyone else experienced this? If so does anyone have any fixes? I know Shimano has that issue with the finned brake pads (I never noticed that on my set)

No I still haven't gotten rid of it completely. It's most pronounced blasting through chunk at high speed off the brakes. As soon as you drag the brakes a bit, you no longer hear it. I may try the teflon tape idea, or try a different retaining pin (or maybe a different pad spreading spring)

I just tried putting some antiseize On the pad backing plate. It's passed the workshop test so will try it on the trails this week

I wanted to share my solution: I didn't want to do antisieze as it's pretty messy, so I got a bottle of CRC disk brake quiet. I applied a small amount to the back of the pads and carefully installed them. It seems to work quite well, and might even work for shimano brake pads too.
