Loamy dirt, great views and awesome work! Never been to Sunrise, but was wondering if you knew if they allow 3 year olds on Shotgun/Macride type seats to ride with pops? Thanks
Yes but same rules apply "at own risk" I suggest trails from mid mountain down. Use spirit ridge lift for a mid mountain drop off. Take a pool noodle or something as the hanging racks allow the bikes to hit the chair. Enjoy!

I ride on trails around Scottsdale with my kid on the front in a Shotgun commonly and I did the same with his big brother before that until he got too big. I've ridden almost all of the trails at Sunrise and am a fairly confident rider. There are very few trails I'd feel comfortable riding with my 18 month old on there and would have felt the same when his older brother was 3. Even the very easy trails are going to be extremely bumpy for your kid and can be very steep. You can do it and I'm not going to tell you otherwise but I'd highly recommend doing a day there yourself first and seeing what you think. I'd be going so slowly with my kid on the front that I'd be constantly stopping to let others by and I don't think it would be fun for me , him or anyone behind me despite the fact that the faster I go here the happier he is. Again, YMMV, just saying this as someone who has been using a Shotgun seat regularly for the last 4 years.

good advice. Eazy Peazy , Pinedale and Cartoon Forest are the smoothest on the mountain. All accessible from spirit lift Which only goes up to mid lodge.

Not too worried about bumps & steep, 18-24" drop offs, small tables, berms, roots, etc. Ex top 5 Norba National Downhiller and this will be my 3rd and last son on a shotgun. Coming from lot's of bike parks this summer like Mammoth & Park City where we do all the blues and even a few blacks together, let alone all our Flagstaff and Sedona chunk rides. Just wanted to make sure Sunrise accepts shotgun/mac rides since there is nothing posted on their website and I'd hate to do the 3.5 hour drive only to get turned around when we load up the bikes on the chairlift.

You, sir, do not need my advice 😂.

Let me know how it goes. I certainly don’t have your skill but my youngest would love Jagge and Identify Crisis (it is blue but probably the smoothest). I could totally see me taking him down those two. Pinedale is easy and fun but has a couple of small doubles that I believe it would be very fun to roll if there is any water at all.

Also, I bet you’d agree with me about most people though.

Thank you, I will certainly try out Jaage and IC as recommended. Looks long and joyous through the trees as noted in Clockworks awesome videos and trail work which is why we want to take the Sunrise Express to the higher trails.

I will agree to agree 😎

BTW Jaage is closed while we do work on it. If all goes well it will be open for wed-mon labor day shredding

I was there on Sunday, killer work @clockwork!!!

I did chutes and ladders for the first time in 14 years. It's actually rideable now, I'm not super comfortable with big sketchy lines, or washed out trails, but it chutes and ladders was perfect! We were bummed we didn't get to ride jagge, but I can't wait to check it out next year. That's by my favorite trail on the mountain. Thanks again for all the hard work!

I hope so, I have a couple of people coming with me next Friday (still a little tentative) and one of them really struggles with Fungus so will be easier for him but I’ll enjoy it either way! Seriously great work up there.
