My 95 pound son blew the damper on his Lyrik over the weekend. Its on a new jeffsey Primus I bought him in april.

warrenty it, but I have a feeling it will pop again soon

rebuild with local suspension shop

damper upgrade to charger 3 or Mrp lift

toss the fork to the side and replace the whole thing.

I just want something that will not cause problems And be able to minimize time away from riding

Charger 3 doesn't have many fans.
The only 1 I've seen in person I stopped the rider to check their bike over as it was riding appallingly. It was that bad.

There seems a lot of love for the lift, and it's set for rider weight so will likely be the best he's ridden.

I haven't had any issues with my Charger 3. It works great on everything. I don't know which Lyrik you have, but the Charger 3 might only work for certain model Lyriks.

I've been curious about Lift for a while. Seems like it receives great praise.

damper unthreaded resulting in catastrophic failure. Threads are fully intact, bad quality control. The damper had less than 20 hours at failure.

Was that the charger 3.1?
that’s the Rush RC damper in the base Lyrik. Maybe 20 hours of riding on it

Have you contacted them yet?
Yes and no, I filed a warranty claim with YT a they have been in contact . Everything situated right now, SRAM wants me to send the whole fork to them.

Will finish up the Lift damper install tonight, hopefully SRAm allows me to just send them the damper.

kinda fked, already spent $400 for a new damper cause they didn’t properly torque the damper cap.

Either way your new Lift damper will be miles better compared to the base RC damper. However, they should warranty it, and once they fix it or send you a new one, you can try to sell it.

To the OP- It is likely RS will not be sending you a RC damper to replace. They will usually upgrade to the next level. May want to ask if you can get full upgrade to 3.1 at a discount.

These are quite interesting.
I have seen two Charger RC:s do the same and at least one Charger2.1 that unthreaded from the sealhead, which is better as the piston cannot come out and break..
