If they ported it so it used the bike's frame as an echo chamber, they might have a great idea here.

Better yet, do that with a stereo version that replaces the handlebar end caps 😁

Group ride with friends on the beach strand, sure. One of those 'midnight rides' where people wear costumes and bring their dogs in trailers, go for it. Anywhere else, I hope you stub your little toe on furniture every day for the rest of your life. 😈

just what we need. more ways for people to be inconsiderate in the woods.
Nobody wants to hear your (or anyone else's) music on a ride.
If I was forced to choose outlawing one thing, music on bikes would come waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before e-bikes!
I only posted this because so many of you seemed irritated in the last thread we had about music and bikes that I couldn't resist pointing out this innovative new product I ran across during my morning coffee web surfing.

Nothing that can't be fixed with a drill...

If I come across anyone that owns one of these, I will also be encouraging them to drill away at their downtube, to custom tune their sound.

I was once yo-yoing with a guy that had a speaker strapped to his top tube during a 30+mi race. I just couldn't manage to pull away from him. I was very close to reaching over, grabbing the speaker, and throwing it into the woods. race rules prohibited earbuds/headphones but made no mention of speakers. pretty sure the next year, they added speakers to the prohibited list.

I had my a$$ handed to me in an 18 Hour Race by a guy who had a water bottle speaker cranking tunes. The dude was so positive and encouraging that I actually looked forward to him passing me each time I heard the music getting closer. Perspective...

Oh, if he had just passed and I didn't see him for awhile, then it would have been a little different. But no. This was a point-to-point race. He was never out of earshot. If I pulled ahead, he'd eventually catch up. If I let him go, he'd fall back.

My perspective is that I don't want to hear it when I'm focusing on a task like that. It's rude to subject others to it.

I could see that being really annoying. An arms race would be fun, though...
