I'm ridding a Canyon Spectral ON CFR LTD. Really enjoying this bike. The Rockshox Flight Attendant works really good when it works. There comes my bad luck with the Rockshox Flight Attendant. Within 7 months I had a defect FA module on the rear shock (Super Deluxe) a few weeks later the FA module on the Lyrik Ultimate did stopped working. Both were doing nothing. No lights blinking on de FA modules. (tried other batteries, cleaning the connections etc.)

The rear FA module is replaced under waranty. Let's see what Canyon/SRAM is saying.

Are there more people that are using Flight Attendant with this kind of issues ?

I'm thinking about a Flight Attendant enduro. Sorry about your issues ...can you elaborate on riding conditions, frequency or anything that you feel may have contributed to the early demise? Also, do you happen to know if RockShock is able to do anything preemptive about issues if you send your fork/shocks to them for the periodic rebuild?

Look somewhere else for your damping needs. When you get Flight Attendant, better start a timer, because one day you'll be SOL. Do you really want to deal with issues you can't even pay to resolve? At least with nearly all other dampers, they can be serviced completely and repaired. You can't buy a FA module.

The fork is easy to service your self. It is the same as normal ones. FA module is also easy to replace. Only thing you can't fix the FA module. Is a closed system. When the FA module is not working. The damper is always open. So you can still ride your bike ;-)

In my case is was under warranty. The electronic part of the FA module was defect. It was replaced within one week by Canyon/SRAM. They did also a small service of oil and seals.

I'd buy a normal damper, while they're still available, and keep it as a spare.

The simple reality is that electronics have a far shorter lifetime than the rest of the fork can. There are people riding around on 20 year old forks that still work. Even 10 year old cell phones can't connect to vehicles or networks.

I haven't had a great experience on mine. When it works it is great but I had it warrantied in my first year and now in my second year it again is not waking up.

I am on a Capra uncaged 6 and I am ready to get rid of it as it has been unreliable for me.

Hi folks!

I also own the Canyon Spectral ON CFR LTD and I do have the same problem with the FA modul on the lyrik ultimate. First, the axs button didn't work, when he worked, he stopped the update procedure always, the next day the modul didn't recognise a new batterie and was dead at all. Now my dealer sends it to SRAM, I am curios what they say. I bought the bike in Sep 2022. The dealer says, he knows that problem only in combination with Canyon bikes....

Best regards, HenningO

Yeah mine stopped working again for a two hour ride - then worked perfectly after it decided to wake up on a different day. The whole bike went back to Yt who are testing it now. I’m over it though and have lost confidence in it so would rather not have it on my bike. Anyone want a Yt Capra uncaged 6?

Has YT been very responsive?

I’m also on Yt Capra uncaged 6. The electronic FA components work flawlessly on mine, however there’s a repeating issue with the shock. Over time it develops a weird resistance toward the middle of the stroke, almost like a knock. If you apply enough force it gets past the resistance and towards the end of the stroke it performs close to as expected. Recently got performed the 200h service for the shock by a shop and it fixed it, but now after 4 rides the issue is back. Not sure if that’s related to the countless compression adjustments that are done by FA, or is it just a bad shock. Bike returns to the shop today for another look on the shock.

I'm looking at a second hand Flight Attendant equipped bike (YT), this thread is making me nervous.
It seems like investing in a Fight Attendant bike without a warranty is a really bad idea.
Don't do it. Get a different spec. At least with other shocks the entire thing can be serviced. Take the money you've saved and get it custom tuned for you.

Hi, I also have a YT Capra Uncaged6. The Zeb fork controller has now failed twice. Have a close look at the connectors to the battery. one of them has has recessed (almost like it has melted) Sram replaced under warranty (y), but dont think the product will last long:(. My theory is take the batteries off the bike before transporting. As the battery goes low power it overheats and melts the connection.
