OK e Mofo's here's a challenge for you.
1000mtr of up/down in 1.5 hours.
thats 3333ft.

Oh,,,, one rule. You can't go down the same track twice. Got to choose a different track to go down each time. So its not just lapping out constantly the same efficient track. You have to keep smashing different tracks.

I got close today on this ride then thought of the 1000 in 1.5 after then.

It will probably be easy for you dudes with big mountains. My bike park is maybe 70m vert. So its death my multiple ups and downs.

For the mtbers that dont have an e to attend this challenge. The mtb version is 500mtr in 1hr, or if you want to complete the 1000mtr, 2hrs.

And.... go!

Flying in a Cessna is cheating. Unfortunately I will have to disqualify from this attempt and future attempts in this challenge.
Thats not a cessna. I call my ebike the c-180. I get a great workout.

How long does a 500m vert climb normally take?

I don't think I've ever done a continuous one and possibly never will. There's plenty of opportunity here but pedaling up mountainsides for hours to ride down 4wd tracks isn't my usual thing.

What is Craigieburn access road?

Just for reference. If you can do this you would be battling for the win in a WC XC race. But only if you were racing in the women's category.

It doesn't need to be in one climb/descend. You could attempt to smash it up your local.

Ps 500m vertical on a mtn /hour is hard.

Queenstown Gondola would be close. Skyline road is 400m up in 2.4km. That said, I think it would take me an hour!
Strava has someone doing it in ten minutes 😕
But the quickest time with power and heart rate data is almost 17 minutes at 344W and 180BPM!!!

I'm looking at some of my rides and times. I don't think I can do it...The not being able to repeat would be a PITA, but likely manageable here in Colorado. It is the actual ability to crank out that much climbing and descending in 1.5 hours for me.

I just looked at my Pikes Peak Hillclimb stats from 3 years ago. It took me about 1:22 to climb 1000m on a paved 10% road....

edit: I just re-read the entire original thread. Somehow I missed the last line about the not e-bike challenge....will have to look into 500m in an hour or 1000m in 2.

This is either not accurate orgoes to show me how different XC-Tracks must be from a long, mellow fireroad climb and flowy trails. Because on fireroad climb / flowtrail downhill doing it in 1:45 unassisted is well feasible, and I do think Pauline&Co. would easily gain more than 15 minutes on me ;)

The sidequest mentioned by OP, 500m +&- in 1h unassisted - check :)
