Snow grumbling. Utah is in a snow drought. Hard on my fat biking centered view of the world and after a giant bonus snow year in 22-23. How is your area doing? (y) or (n)?
Southern Utah: We had one snow of worth a month ago, nothing since, cold next weekend with a chance of snow.

My trails got icey after the packed snow warmed up, so I got some studded D4 which have worked great. Looking forward to snow and a ride on a frozen lake 👍

Plenty of snow on the Knik River near Palmer, Alaska.

Palmer is a cool little town. Beautiful down there too. After spending a couple days in the area on a road trip last summer my wife and daughter informed me that we're moving to Palmer.

I've also been working the fair there for about 20 years and rode to work from Fairbanks as to not break my commuting to work streak.

No snow in Wisconsin AND I just bought my first fat bike two days ago...
Yup. Strong El Nino has resulted in above average temps and no snow this year. Been riding the fat bike on trails that are frozen dirt or sometimes a little muddy depending on the day. Thinking I may get the full suspension bike back out. Getting beat up by a rigid bike is getting old.

We are significantly behind on snowfall this season. North east New Brunswick, Canada. Would be riding groomed trails by early December any other year. Looking like a short winter. Bright side ground has frozen and frost seems to be deep. We should be able to keep whatever falls a little longer.

I feel your pain over in Minnesota. After 2 days in a row riding the fatbike I can really feel it in my neck and shoulders. It would be nice to get enough snow to smooth out the bumps

@Cerpss we left our suspension forks on our fatbike so far this winter. I'm still running 29ers on my Suzi Q due to the lack of snow conditions. The females bike is on jumbo Jim's yet.... What little snow we had this morning appears to be gone now on the SW side of the Twin Cities. Hopefully Friday will change that.

I could. But...

1.) That bike is aluminum and I prefer carbon
2.) Too expensive for me. The frameset alone on that bike cost just as much as my complete carbon fat bike
3.) Aesthetically...that bike is not pleasing to my eye.

If I were to go full squish fat I would opt for a full squish carbon Salsa Bucksaw.

I have my Bluto (freshly serviced and added Charger damper last week) on but I still notice the little bumps, roots, rocks, etc. And a couple rough landings trying to remember the right speeds on the fatty for drops and new jumps put in this summer probably isn't helping my cause. Hopefully the weather folks are right and we get some prolonged cold and a couple to lots of inches of snow starting Friday
