Maybe I’m weak, but I couldn’t imagine riding my Stumpy Evo with gearing stiffer than my current 30t ring and 10-52t cassette.

Not sure why 34T is needed on XC? Do they really spin out with a 32? I run a 28/42 on my bike (XG1199) super light, and lots of clearance on the front to go over obstacles. Can also use a shorter cage derailler.

Not GX, but I have been very very impressed with XO transmission so far. Only have about 50 miles on it, so very early days, but the thing is flawless thus far. Of course should be mentioned I am coming from a Microshift advent X derailleur, so you would hope there would be some improvements given the difference in price.

That's retarded as hell. Shimano is way ahead in this.
Don’t agree.

Although I I usually run a different ring than stock, it’s nice to be able to buy a crankset that’s ready to go and then you also have a backup chainring, or different tooth count options. However, from what I’ve seen, most people happily run the stock SRAM chainring.

If you compare apples to apples, standard GX Eagle cranks WITH a chainring are cheaper than XT’s with nothing.

Hm, I guess people don't use oval rings as much as I thought they would.
I just hate losing money on selling stuff I didn't want in the first place.
...and considering GX cranks are butt=ugly, I will lose even more by buying X0 separately, haha.

I bought X0 cranks for myself, but for my wife's new bike, I want to save weight. I noticed the Transmission cranks are a fair bit heavier than either our current Shimano SLX or previous generation SRAM stuff, so I'm thinking what to get.
The X0 cranks are also expensive AF.

What can I get? I am only limited by being able to install a chainring that gets me to 55mm chainline.
The X0 cranks without a chainring weight 550g, so I'm looking for anything lighter, ideally from carbon, that is made in 165mm length, cost the same at maximum, and has no stupid decals (or with decals that can be removed). I don't have problem with 2nd hand components.

Race Face Era if I was going carbon and being a weight weenie.
