While many of the lower elevation trails have seemed to dry out and even have hero dirt, this is not so up in the Cleveland National Forest, specifically the Noble Canyon Trail.
There is significant (read trudging through hike-a-bike style) snow from Penny Pines, through Upper Noble to the first road crossing. Between the first road crossing and the second road crossing, there is significant snow early on and once descending, there is significant snow on the shaded areas. After the last road crossing and dropping into the regular part of Noble, there is significant snow until around the switchbacks.
As if that wasn't enough, there is a big tree down about a mile down, before Widowmaker, if you know the trail.
We won't be able to get the tree for a while until the snow melts a little more.
Please enjoy the lower elevation trails in San Diego in the meantime!
I will update at the end of February. I anticipate better riding at the very end of February, early March, depending of course if we get more snow/rain.
